Be a joy giver

"Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. " Hebrews 13:17

Aspects of supervision

• Direction(vision, planning, assignments) • Development (mentoring, training, coaching) • Support(visas, housing, problem-solving)• Encouragement (listening, caring) • Assessment (monitoring and evaluating

performance)

Note: Every leader will be stronger in some areas than in others!

Note #2: Not all of this will come from your team leader (s).

Go!

• 1. Nothing can be said besides the word "Go."

• 2. You may not leave your spot unless someone has told you to go.

• 3. You may only say "Go" if you've made eye contact with the person who needs your help.

Go!

• Why is it difficult?• Who’s fault is it when the exercise fails?• In what ways is this exercise an

illustration of how we should or should not function as a team?

• Why is it important to pay attention to what is not happening on the team?

• In what ways can we say “Go” to our teammates?
