When valve repairs require disassembly, technicians f irst verif y that the valveislocked,taggedandtried.Whereapplicable,valves are unplugged to release pressure, and drained. AppropriatePPEisdonnedforlinebreaks,andthevalveismatch-markedtoallowforre-assemblyofcomponents in the original conf iguration. Team technicians then disassemble valves to the smallest components and clean each par t to allow for proper visual,dimensionalandNDEinspection,asnecessary.
