    (Vaughan, ON August 10, 2009)

Podium for Medaglia at Sand Del Lee Killoughrunner-up in Womens Nationals

It was a stellar day for Team Rockstar Suzuki OTSFFs Tyler Medaglia at Round7 of the CMRC Nationals which were held at Sand Del Lee in Richmond, ON.Medaglia, who lives in nearby Kemptville, snared a noteworthy second overall

in the feature MX1 class on the strength of 3-2 motos.

In the Womens Nationals, whose five-round series concluded at Sand DelLee, Jocelyn Killough was able tosecure runner-up in the championship. She recorded 3-4 motos to take fourthoverall on the day, with which shescored enough points to cement theNo.2 National ranking.

It was a great season for me. I had a

great team behind me and a fantasticbike that helped me get the job done, said Killough. I had hoped to makethe podium today but my main goalwas to end up with enough points tofinish the series in second place so Ididnt take any chances to jeopardize that.

In MX1 action, Medaglia got off on the right track logging the fastest timeduring practice on his RM-Z450 EFI. A top-five start in first moto saw Medagliaquickly move into second place behind Colton Facciotti. The duo laid down afast tempo and started pulling away from the chase group which included

Dusty Klatt and Mason Phillips. Around the halfway mark Medaglia went downand although he managed to remount in no time at all, Klatt was able toinherit second place. For the rest of the moto Medaglia defended third placeright to the finish line.

Another top start in the second moto saw Medaglia again work his way intosecond place early in the race. Once again he found himself dogging Facciottiwhile Klatt and Bobby Kiniry battled for third behind him. Towards the end of

the moto Kiniry, who had settled into third, made some attempts to displaceMedaglia from second but his efforts proved in vain.

Today was a step in the right direction for me. Ive been working really hardduring the past three weeks or so now that my wrist is pretty well healed, said Medaglia. My confidence is back and I felt good all day. And I knew I had

the speed. My bike ran awesome the whole weekend.

Kyle Keast, meanwhile, recorded eight overall on the strength of 9-8 motos.Keast, who missed several rounds due to a scaphoid injury, crashed on thefirst lap which put him towards a back-of-the-pack remount. Undaunted, hesoldiered on picking off rider after rider to claim ninth place at the checkered.

Keast quickly parlayed a top-10 start in the second moto into sixth place, butproblems with his wrist started handicapping him around the halfway point. He soldiered on, however, and managed to give up only two positions in theremainder of the moto.

All in all I was happy with the way I rode today considering I was off my bikefor a few weeks and my wrist really bothering me in the second moto, saidKeast. Finishing top 10 was all I could hope for and I at least managed to dothat.

In the first MX2 moto, Balzs Dczi got off to a mid-pack start which heturned around into a 10th place finish. In the second moto he was hamperedby a bent rear disc early in the moto which left him with no breaking poweron the rear wheel. He managed to ride out the moto, however, taking 16th atthe checkered taking 12th overall on the day.
