Client Type: A division of a multi-national pharmaceutical company based in Europe, with operations in a number of countries globally.

Summary: Horizon were contracted to carry out a serialisation front-end study on 35 packaging lines in ten countries and delivered proposed design solutions, order of magnitude costs and a time-lined project plan for the solution implementation across all 35 lines.

Charles has worked in numerous sectors of engineering - 10 years in the petrochemical industry, 8 years in engineering consulting and 12 Years in pharmaceutical primary and secondary manufacturing (Johnson & Johnson, Allergan), along with one year in the whiskey distilling and food industry.

Some of Charles' roles involved Computerised Systems Validation (CSV) professional for Allergan, Head of Computer Validation for Cilag Schaffhausen, Systems Consulting Group Team Leader for Project Management Ltd., Senior Systems Engineer for Jacobs Engineering Ltd., various Project Management and Engineering roles for Shell UK Exploration and Production, and an Analyst/Programmer for Logica Ltd.

Catriona has worked in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industry for over 14 years. Working in fast-paced, start-up environments with multinational companies such as Shire Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, and Forest Laboratories, Catriona has developed deep understanding of Quality Assurance Systems and continuous improvement within the manufacturing and distribution arena. Catriona believes her foundation was established in her first role in BBraun Medical Total Parental Nutrition unit where patients accompanied each unit of product manufactured, a powerful motivator for integrity and compliance. Within her Responsible Person key roles, Catriona has developed expertise in global regulations and auditing with her travel log spanning far and wide to Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and the US along with extensive work across Europe.
