Tony Mecadon

My name is Tony Mecadon and I’m in my 2nd year of grad school at Villanova with plans to be finished by this time next year. I work for a company called Dollar Financial Global. I am a Financial Analyst in their Real Estate Department. Prior to Dollar, I spent 15 years with Aramark, the last 8 as a Controller at Camden Yards in Baltimore. My undergraduate degree is from King’s College and is in Accounting, although my job now is very far removed from Accounting. I live in Media and have since I moved back to the Philly area in 2011.

Brian Weisel

I am Brian Weisel, and I am entering my second year into VSB's MBA program. My current plan is to graduate in May 2015. I have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Temple University and a master’s degree, also in mechanical engineering, from Villanova. I am currently the Engineering Manager at FMC Technologies Inc. in Chalfont, PA. I have extensive experience in engineering design, manufacturing, production, operations, and project management. I am currently transitioning into an operations management role. I live in Harleysville, PA with my wife, as well as my son and daughter when they are not at school. Both attend Drexel University, Software Engineering and Chemical Engineering, respectively.

Michael Montalbano

My name is Michael Montalbano, and I am a second-year JD/MBA applicant. I grew up in Norristown, PA, and am currently living in South Philadelphia. I earned my bachelor’s in environmental science at Temple University, and I will graduate from Villanova University in May 2015. My interests include running/working out, reading, cooking, and all things public policy.

Silvana Schwalm

Hi, I am Silvana Schwalm and I am also entering my second year into the VSB’s MBA program. My goal is to graduate in May or August of 2015. I have a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy from Penn State University and I am a CPA. I am an External Reporting and Compliance Manager at The Hershey Company. Prior to working at Hershey, I worked for KPMG LLP in the Harrisburg office and at Armstrong World Industries in their internal audit department. My professional experience is primarily in Audit. Currently, my primary responsibilities are coordinating the preparation of the company’s SEC reporting (8-K, 10-Qs and 10-K) and accounting for the company’s hedging and derivative transactions. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I live in Lancaster with my husband and two daughters.

Jay Mazzerle

My name is Jason Mazzerle, but I go by Jay. I currently live in Downingtown, PA and have lived in the Downingtown/Exton/West Chester area my entire life. After this semester, I will have only the other two capstone courses remaining, both of which I will likely complete in the summer, or possibly fall semester at the very latest. Prior to my time at Villanova, I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in business management and communication studies from West Chester University. Upon graduation from WCU, I spent six years working for Verizon Business in various roles such as project manager, account manager, salesperson/account executive, and interim sales manager. My division was responsible for sales and service in the SMB market, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. I am currently pursuing new career opportunities. My hobbies include playing the piano and writing music, reading whenever I have the time, and fitness.
