disability will give their personal best for Australia at the Special Olympics

Asia Pacific Games.

Support Team AustraliaOn 1 December 2013, 400 Australian athletes with an intellectual disability will march into the stadium in Newcastle, NSW to represent our country at the inaugural Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games.

For the next week they will wear the green and gold with pride in front of family, friends and fans as they compete against 2,000 athletes from over 32 countries.

This will be the largest multi-sports event for people with an intellectual disability ever held in Australia.

The athletes of Team Australia have trained hard with their volunteer coaches to have this opportunity to share their determination, courage and sporting talent.

Now they are working hard to fundraise the $2,400 needed to get to the Games.

You can help them achieve this dream with a tax-deductible donation.

For inspiration on why to donate just read what each of the 400 athletes of Team Australia shared with us about what Special Olympics means to them, what being part of Team Australia has made them feel or their dreams for the future.

Donations can be made at www.specialolympics.com.au
