By the end of this session, teachers will: ➤ be able to explain the intersections of race and gender in

the fight for and against women’s suffrage. ➤ demonstrate how to employ images as fruitful primary

sources in teaching the history of women’s suffrage. ➤ know where to find more information about women’s

suffrage in the U.S., including primary sources.
