Welcome students!
Hello 1st graders! Today we will have our lesson online
as you see. You will be doing 4 things
1) you will view this powerpoint
2) you will learn about patterns on Kidspiration
3) you will do an activity on Smart Board
4) you will take a quiz on Survey Monkey
What is our lesson?
This week our lesson is about….
Patterns
We will be learning about what patterns are, where do
we see them and how can we make our own pattern.
Standards/Objectives
Standard:
Recognize, create, complete, and extend patterns
Objectives:
Identify simple patterns
(shapes, colors, sizes, numbers, sounds and movements.)
Create and Complete patterns
(shapes, colors, sizes, numbers, sounds and movements.)
First step:
Take this survey first:

Go through this power point presentation
Do NOT skip anything, because this will help you do
everything else.
Be sure to save all your work and screen shot each
assignment you do.
Second Step:
You will open up the file called
“Pattern’s Kidspiration”
Then you will do what this file tells you to do.
Once you are finished screen shot the work you have
done.
How to screen shot: click: (shift+command+4) and make a
box around the area you want a picture of.
Then you will move on to the Smart board activity.
Third Step:
Smart board
You will open up the file called “Patterns Smart Board”
Then you will do each slide and answer all questions.
Once you have done this you will screen shot each slide.
After make a clapping pattern and share with a friend or
family member. Have them make one up too.
Then you may move on to the next thing.
Fourth Step:
Take a quiz to show me what you have learned from this
lesson

Final step:
Put the screen shots you took on a power point
