Teacher Professional Learning Robokids are an accredited provider of TPL through NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority). Our 3 professional learning robotics courses align to ACARA DT and specific state curriculums. Our courses facilitate the development of teacher confidence and increase their digital capacity to embed robotics into their scope and sequence programs. Here at Robokids we use robotics as a medium for 21 st Century learning which involves enquiry based problem solving catered to each year level, we also differentiate our courses for individual student capabilities. Robots Used Kinder/Reception/Foundation Bee Bots Year 1- 3 We Do Lego 2,0 Year 3-7 EV3 Mindstorms Costs for x 1 Robokids facillitator 2 hours after school on site 3 30 – 5 30 pm $1000 (up to 20 staff) extra staff $50 each Half Day (during school time) $1000 (up to 20 staff) extra staff $50 each Full Day $1800 (up to 20 staff) extra staff $100 each Travel Fees are in addition to these costs if travelling interstate We can run x 3 stages at the same time. What we bring All Robots Laptops and iPads Staff worksheets for the sessions Aligned outcomes for each Stage, aligned to ACARA Digital Technology & specific state English Maths & Science Curriculums. Staff will need A USB if using EV3 to save their programs. May use their own iPad for We Do Robot if they wish, then they can save their programs. The We Do is an app easily downloaded.

We Need

• Workspaces with smart boards • A parking spot as we have quite a bit of gear to bring along.

Overview TPL Session Half Day

• Introduction to Robotics (15 mins) "Why Robotics is a fantastic medium for STEM/STEAM & 21st Century Education"

• Break into Robotic Sessions: (2 Hours) Robotic Programming

• Staff will be given time to work with their peers and aligning robotics to their Scope and Sequence Programs.

• Robokids Instruction • Staff work on Scope and Sequence Programs • Staff show and tell. • Staff nominate spokespeople from their breakout groups to demonstrate what

programming skills they have and how they can align robotics to their Stage content and curriculum outcomes.
