Tea Tree Gully Newsletter Bulkana Oval www.ttgathletics.com.au Good evening everyone, How about this crazy weather???? Well done to the 45 athletes that braved the drizzle and represented TTGLAC at last Sunday Northern Reg Open Day. You guys did really well with a few cheeky PBs even on the wet heavy track. We were the second best represented club, only being pipped by the host centre Playford by 1 athlete! Thats impressive!! This Saturday morning sees Golden Grove open their track to host us in a reciprocal of our January visit. Their day starts at 8:45am, sharp, and probably wont be a modified start with the hot weather as thats early enough. It is due to be Program 2B as listed on the Golden Grove website but changes may be made on the day. Head on out and support our friends next door! Our relay teams are looking really really good now and again I congratulate all the kids and parents for their commitment to this event. A separate email will becoming your way Friday night so please keep an eye out on your inbox. It will have the program of events, parent roster and important Relay Day tips and info. Good luck to everyone! Im excited!!! With that said our next main event is Northern Improvers Games, to be hosted at Gawler LAC on Feb 26th. Well done to the 29 athletes who have registered and are going to take part. If you did miss the boat, or the State Individual qualifier doesn’t happen, they will take late entries. Please email Claire if you need help. [email protected] The next big SALAA sanctioned events will be the State Challenge and the State Individual Championships. Nominations for these events are now well and truly open but SALAA advise to save registration till the 19th Feb to avoid confusion with late qualifying times if your bordering on both the Challenge and SIC’s. Athlete qualifications are on the website and will be updated week by week right up to the cut off on 19th Feb. Claire will have hard copies on her at all times if you need assistance. You will need to register through the Members Portal for these events. If you have not yet created a login please email SALAA for details. With the end of season in sight, so is our presentation night and 40th Birthday celebration planning. Our committee are still open to ideas but are well on the way to planning a fun night. Remember, if you would like to join in on our next meeting its, Wednesday 15th Feb at 7:30pm in the clubs office. Its very informal fun meeting with a few bevies and nibbles and a lot of laughs. Thank You!

Huge thanks to you all and especially to Mel and Michelle and the fundraising team.

Through all your support and hard work we have purchased a pre loved trailer to be converted and ‘pimped’ over the winter into our new equipment

carrier.

If you have any experience with welding, grit blasting, painting or metal coating please let us know.

We could use your help!

Tea Tree Plaza Sausage Sizzle

Our busy team are at it again, hosting a sausage sizzle fundraiser at TTP on Saturday March 25th out side the

Bakers Delight entrance between 9am - 3pm.

We will be calling on volunteers to help run this bbq and will be running two shifts, am/pm.

If your free and able to help we’d love to see you down there. Please speak to Mel or Michelle for more details.
