My concept for the tea branding is to promote healthy product and expland the exploration of tea in various ways. Tea can help people not only being healthy but also to slim weight down. It means that this idea could reach a big market around the world. Most of people, especially women but are not healthy and keep eating unhealthy food. It could make them more motivated for tea, because it is simple to drink, and an easy way to take in the benefits of tea.

“Take me as example I was 95kg during a high school, so I decided to drink a green tea and keep simple excerises. Because I also washed away a lot of fats and oil in my body. I always drink a green tea with any food but don’t eat much of unhealthy food. Now, my new weight is 67kg.”

“Chinese slimming tea is said help your body burn fat and calories - easy to add to your daily routine as all you have to do is drink three or more cups a day.”

“Works on metabolism. Green Tea has the ability to increase metabolism. This makes your body bum extra fat.”

“Camellia sinensis, the tea plant, is of major commercial importance because tea is made from its leaves. While the finest teas are produced by C. sinensis courtesy of millennia of selective breeding of this species, many other camellias can be used to produce a similar beverage.”

My concept and research

I researched about designs works not only for tea logo but everything include packaging, interior design and some interesting design works for getting any idea for tea branding. I also find what I name for the tea branding.

Logo

I named ‘Tea Guru’ as brand identity. “Guru” mean a teacher in asian languages and also describe a spiritual and respected expect. I represent ‘Tea Guru’. I represent ‘Tea Guru’ as a teaching instution to help people to learn about teas and various ways in healthy lifestyles.

I create “Avant Garde” typeface with a shape of U to represent as two petals of Camellia. It will be simple and clean however, I also would like to create more refreshing emotion and feeling. I also choose Helvetica Neue as my secondary typeface for ‘Tea’ and informations.

Color

The colours are greenish blue. The greenish blue represents as defination of the spiritual and relaxing as well as refreshing. The white respresent as “clean’ and ‘healthy’ for the background. I also use camellia colors which fits with red, pink, white, yellow and more than other.

This color is C = 60%, M = 0%, Y =40% K =15% ). This color is C = 100%, M = 0%, Y =40% K =25% ).

My theme for interior is ‘Spa’ room. I would like people to be pampered and spoiled in order to relax in this interior , comfortable packages suchs as package for hot teas and cold teas, tables, pillows and etc.

I design an exterior and interior for Tea Guru. My concept for them is to combine simplicity and imagination. There were my line drawings. See the drawing of interior next page.

Tea Package

This idea for Tea package is simple and fun to choose each tea with each color. Each tea represents definations of different feelings with each colour. There are White Tea, Red Tea, Green Tea and more. It also used be on die cutting and folding methods.

This paper material is recycled paper. I used repeated pattern of different sizes of Camellia’s petals that related to tea as a visual langauge and graphic element.

Visual Language will combine ‘Tea Guru’ logo with graphic elements which include petals, to design for packages, uniforms, cups, bottles and paper bags.

‘Cold Tea’ Botttle Menu

Some people like to drink cold tea especially ‘Ice Lemon Tea’. I decided to create a bottle design for ‘Cold Tea’. I used the combination of petals and one image of each tea. See above

The materials and methods are glass bottles, paper and sandblasting.

Tea Guru’s menu covers every petals of Camellia as a wide of specialities from benefits of teas. The short information of Camellia Sinensis also had be shown in this menu.

The size of menu design is almost A5 size in paper..The material is matt cardboard.
