This programme is designed to complete relevant industry National Certificates Agriculture Level 3 (Cattle Breeding, Animal Feeding and Pastures, Animal Health and Husbandry, Stockperson – Sheep and Cattle), along with options for Dairy Farming – Health and Husbandry and Milking.

Designed for students with some experience in agriculture who wish to work as Milkers in a dairy shed. Upon completion students will be able to bring in the cows, prepare the shed, milk cows, separate milk unsuitable for collection, clean the shed and yards.

Designed for students with some experience in agriculture who wish to work on a dairy farm during calving/mating . On completion, students will be able to identify cows close to calving, assist with calving, identify cows for mating and have an understanding of breeding and calf rearing methods.

A free service for 16 to 17 year olds which aims to get (and keep) young people into education, training or work-based learning.Self-referrals by young people and referrals from schools, parents or anyone concerned for a young person who requires more intensive support to achieve their education or training goals, are welcome.
