    3. The actual tuition fees payable are in Ringgit Malaysia. For the purpose of this fee schedule, the estimated exchange rate ofUSD1.00 = RM2.85 is used. Any shortfall arising from foreign exchange currency transactions to Ringgit Malaysia and bankcharges will be borne by the student. Any surplus will be reflected as an excess payment.

    4. International Student Charge and International Student Registration Fee are not refundable or transferable.5. All international students are required to pay Personal Bond and the amount will depend on the students nationality.6. Personal Accident Insurance Coverage of RM30,000 is provided.7. Fee for the Final Examination is approximately RM1,500 (USD527), due in June 2012.8. Please refer to other terms and conditions stated in the application form.

    Additional fees for Science subjects will be as follows:

    Biology/Chemistry/Physics Lab Fee RM250 (USD88) per subject per semester

    Lab coat and safety goggles (for Biology/Chemistry only) RM65 (USD23)

All students who do not have a distinction in SPM English, or equivalent, are required to take ENG3U, in addition to the English ENG4U

    requirement outlined in No.8.10. The tuition fees for Grade 11 Pre-requisite course including ENG3U, is RM3,250 (USD1,141) per subject.

    11. Fee for the compulsory Ontario Literacy Test is approximately RM350 (USD123), payable before the registration for the test.12. All fees shown are valid for three semesters of studies only, should a student continue to a fourth semester, the fees will be revised accordingly.13. Please refer to other terms and conditions stated in the application form.

    Additional fees for Science subjects will be as follows:

    Fee Policy 2012

    1. Fees paid are not transferable except as provided in paragraph 5 below. Fees paid are not refundable except inthe circumstances set out in sub-paragraphs (b), (c), (d) and (e) below and PROVIDED that a request in writing forsuch refund is received by the Head of Programme. Any refund of fees or part thereof is subject to the following:a) The Registration Fee, Processing Fee, International Student Charge and International Student Registration

    Fee are not refundable under any circumstances.b) Subject to sub-paragraph (a) above, if a student withdraws from the programme before the commencement of

    the semester/term, an amount not exceeding 70% of all fees paid may be refundable. An administration fee of

    RM100 will be charged.c) Subject to sub-paragraph (a) above, if a student withdraws from the programme within the first two weeks after

    the commencement of the semester/term, an amount not exceeding 50% of all fees due may be refundable.An administration fee of RM100 will be charged. For avoidance of doubt, all fees paid shall not be refundableafter the second week of the commencement of the semester/term except as provided in sub-paragraphs (d)and (e) below.

    d) Subject to sub-paragraph (a) above, if a student is conditionally accepted into the programme based onforecast results but due to non-fulfilment of entry requirements upon official announcement of examinationresults, is required to discontinue the programme, the student will be eligible for a pro-rated refund of all feespaid. (The pro-rated refund will be computed based on the number of weeks elapsing from the date ofcommencement of the semester / term to the date of official notification to the Head of Programme andproportionate to the total number of weeks of the relevant semester / term.)

    e) Subject to sub-paragraph (a) above, if a student is required to leave the programme due to a call for NationalService and provided that the students request for National Service deferment is denied, the student will be

    eligible for a full refund of all fees paid.

    2. Any refund will be made in the name of the parent/guardian/sponsor/student where applicable as declared in Part Fof the Malaysian Student Application Form and Part E of the International Student Application Form.

    3. All refunds whether of fees, deposits or whatsoever payments, shall be free of interest and shall be subject to theright of set-off by Taylors against any outstanding fees or whatsoever payments due and owing to Taylors.

    4. Fees payable for all semesters / terms, are payable in advance and must be fully paid before or by the start date ofthe semester / term. An administrative charge of RM50.00 will be imposed for each week thereof delayedcommencing from the third week of the semester / term if payment in full is not received by the due date. Ifpayment is not received by the end of the fifth week of the semester / term, Taylors reserves the right to reviewthe status of the student and take such necessary action as Taylors deems fit which may include but is not limitedto barring the student from classes and the facilities, suspension or termination of the student. Taylors further

    reserves the right to withhold all examination results, certificates and records of the student until full settlement ofall fees outstanding.

    5. For inter-programme transfer cases (within Taylors), an administrative charge of RM200.00 will be imposedexcept when the transfer is carried out before the semester / term commences for the first registered programme.The amount of fees transferable to the new programme is subject to the following:a) If inter-programme transfer is carried out within the first month of the commencement of the semester / term,

    all fees paid are transferable to the new programme. In the event of any surplus, such surplus amount shallnot be refundable but may be used to set-off fees for the subsequent term.

    b) If inter-programme transfer is carried out after the first month of the commencement of the semester/term butbefore the mid-semester/term, only the Registration Fee and 50% of the Tuition Fee and the Resource Feewill be transferable to the new programme.

    c) If inter-programme transfer is carried out after the mid-semester/term, only the Registration Fee is transferableto the new programme.

    6. In the event that a student is expelled or is suspended or discontinues the programme due to misconduct or anydisciplinary matter or the non-attainment of academic requirement, there shall be no refund of fees paid.
