Purpose of Portfolios
Portfolios are effective tools for documenting and assessing student achievement and teachers are using professional portfolios to document professional practices, competencies and accomplishments.
Portfolio Workshop Key Terms
Developmental Portfolio-Provides a way for you to organize and store documentation that represents the progression of your developmental skills as an educator. Florida Educators Accomplished Practices- Professional experiences and activities related to teaching practices and competencies. Florida has identified three levels of mastery (Pre-professional, Professional and Accomplished). http://www.fldoe.org/dpe/publications/preprofessional4-99.pdfEvidence Sheet- TCP provided form which lists specifically what the evidence is that you are submitting for approval. (i.e. reflections) Rubric- An assessment tool for communicating expectations of quality.
