The 67th annual Cannes
Film Festival took place this
past month and it was a
wonderful time for fans of
Robert Pattinson as he
premiered not one but two
movies.
On May 17th we got the
press screening of THE
ROVER and what followed
were overwhlemingly
positive reviews of not only
the movie but specifically of
Roberts perfromance as
Rey.
But its Pattinson who turns out to be the films greatest

The following day Robert and the cast of THE ROVER appeared at the photo call, interview and press conference and finally the premiere that night.
On May 19th Roberts MAPS TO THE STARS began its press tour. First with the photo call, interview and press conference and then on to the premiere.
Initial reviews of the film were mixed but critics all seemed to agree that Robert did a great job.
Pattinson and Cronenberg are developing a nice
collaboration, however, and here's to hoping we get to see more from the two of

Mindys mom Diana Facenda and fellow TBP group member Tamara Lane. Although things started a bit rocky with flights being cancelled and/or delayed the night of the event went off with a bang!
We started our evening with food as we gathered around and got to know each other. Some of us had never met in person and were excited to put faces to names and avatars.
Some of the most wonderful
ladies joined us in a very private, cozy setting where we listened to two amazing artists perform, each taking 20 minute intervals to play and finally joining together to sing a few cover songs for us.
Prior to the start of the show the boys couldnt decide who would go first so a game of rock/paper/scissors was suggested. That had us all laughing and we knew then and there it was going to be an amazing night.

Bobby has kept himself busy throughout the month of May with touring. Part of that of course was putting on an exceptional set at TBATG Show in Gatlinburg.
From the time Bobby showed up he was great with everyone. He rested for a short bit and then came down and made sure to shake everyones hands and introduce himself.
What really impressed us was the fact that when Bobby wasnt performing he was in the audience cheering Ruston on. Such

Another cool announcement he made at the show was that he was working on his next book of poetry and then on May 22nd he confirmed that on his Facebook page.

book and the album ready for next year.
Bobby has also announced a couple of upcoming tour dates. One in Toronto and
one in Brooklyn. So be sure to check out his Facebook page so you can get your tickets. Bobby never disappoints.

during May we decided to

were able to get our hands

Most of the pictures were of
Robert playing his part as
Eric Packer but there were
also some of other cast
members as well. It was a
rare find and an amazing

Sam has done a wonderful job this month keeping us up to date on the progress of his upcoming album.
He advised us that he has got the song list down to 18 which Im sure will be whittled down even further.
One of the amazing things he let us know was that he has decided to produce his album himself. We are so proud of you Sam and know you will do a fantastic job!

Johnny Flynn News
We at TBP decided that we would expand our group just a tad and added two new people to the mix.
We have discussed Johnny Flynn before. He was highlighted in the November Newsletter but now he will become a permanent feature.
As many of you know Johnny Flynn is an accomplished actor, poet, singer/songwriter.
He was last seen on the

big screen in Olivier Assayas Clouds of Sils Maria which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
In CoSM Johnny plays Christopher Giles, the friend and love interest of Chloe Moretzs, Jo-Ann Ellis.
Now heres a bit of trivia for you. Fellow Brit Packer, Tom Sturridge was initially hired to play the part but was offered one of the leads in Far from the Madding Crowd
which was filming around the same time as CoSM. When Tom pulled out of the production, Johnny Flynn was suggested.
On the musical front, he has been keeping busy and has a full festival line up for the summer. He has shows scheduled across Europe. For specific information and to purchase tickets please check out his website.

Upcoming TBP Movie Releases
The second new addition to the monthly newsletter is, Andrew Garfield.
Andrew has had a very busy month with the promotion of his feature film The Amazing Spiderman 2. He has appeared on many talk shows and even did a stint on Saturday Night Live. For those that did not see his turn as guest host you must go check it out.
Saturday Night Live saw Andrew do several skits including a hilarious TASM2 parody where he and Emma Stone (who came on to support Andrew) engaged in a humorous kissing skit. Andrews impersonation of Justin Timberlake in the Celebrity Family Feud Skit was insanely funny. And then see what happens when Andrew dares to say that he doesnt like a Beyonce
song. The results are crazy! Andrew had said he was afraid to host SNL but he really did a great job!
If you didnt get a chance to watch the show when it aired on May 3, here are some of the skits:

May was probably one of
the busiest months for all of
us that are following
Roberts career.
Of course the biggest news
of the month was Roberts attendance at Cannes. He
arrived in Cannes to a
whirlwind of promotion for
both THE ROVER and
MAPS TO THE STARS. As
was reported in the Cannes
feature on page 1 of the
newsletter Robert received
amazing reviews. Everyone
appears to finally be seeing
what we have seen all
along, Robert is a fantastic
actor with a wonderful
career ahead of him.
It was nearly impossible to
keep up with all the news
from Cannes as there were
constant interviews and
articles. Please check out
the Cannes Index post at
Robert Pattinson Lifes blog for links to everything.
Robert Pattinson News
As is generally the case
with our ever so elusive
Tom Sturridge, gathering
information is like a
scavenger hunt but its always worth it!
As was reported in last
months newsletter, Tom has one movie completed
and waiting for release
(EFFIE GRAY) and two
movies in post-production
(UNTITLED TERRENCE
MALICK PROJECT and
FAR FROM THE
MADDING CROWD).
Tom started filming Omer
Fasts REMAINDER this past month and should be
completed sometime in
July.

The other huge news that
came out of Cannes was
Roberts involvement in Olivier Assayas feature film entitled IDOLS EYE (formerly, Hubris) along with
Robert DeNiro and Rachel
Weisz.
IDOLS EYE is based on Hillel Levin's 2007 Playboy
feature "Boosting the Big
Tuna," it's about the grisly
murders of a group of
burglars who, in 1978, made
the fatal mistake of stealing
a 70-carat diamond from
organized crime kingpin
Tony "Big Tuna" Accardo.
IDOLS EYE is scheduled to begin filming in Chicago in
October. We will keep a
look out for more filming
news about this.
In addition, this month it was
announced that LOST CITY
OF Z will begin filming in
January 2015 not June as
previously reported. In addition
CHILDHOOD OF A LEADERs filming date has shifted as
well.
So as of right now it appears
that Robert will begin filming
CoAL in July, HotM in
September, IE in October and
LCoZ in January.
As if filming wasnt enough Robert will be promoting THE
ROVER at the Sydney Film
Festival in June and then will
be on hand for the red carpet
premiere of TR in Los Angeles
on June 12th.
UPCOMING PROJECTS:
* The Rover (2014)
* Maps to the Stars (2014)
* Queen of the Desert (2015)
* Life (2015)
* Childhood of a Leader (2015)
* Hold On To Me (2015)
* Idols Eye (2015)
* The Lost City of Z (2015)
We have just started to
have some information
trickle through related to
REMAINDER including the
first official still for the film.
In addition we were able to
get sight of Tom on set.
The pictures were taken
by an observer who was
able to catch some filming.
Olly Kendall indicated that
they were filming in
Loughborough Junction.
You can check out his
tweets about filming at
@OllyKendall, posts occurred
on April 22nd but we didnt get wind of it for a few weeks
later.
With filming on the way we
just need to get some release
dates for his completed films.
We will keep you posted once
we hear something.
UPCOMING PROJECTS:
*Effie Gray (2014)
* Far from the Madding
Crowd (2014)
* Remainder (2015)
Robert took Cannes by storm
and it is only the beginning!

Holly Conlan is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles who some of you might remember from her tour with Sam Bradley in 2011.
She has carved out a nice niche in the LA music scene and performs at various indie venues across the city.
Only Pattinson, in a handful of scenes, is
underutilized - yet the new context of his celebrity in this anti-celebrity project
marks one more satisfying ingredient in Cronenberg's

BPATG Show, continued from pg. 1 As Ruston began his set he shared with us some fun stories including a few about Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney while Bobby sat in the crowd amongst the ladies to enjoy Rustons performance and interact along with the rest of us.
Bobby treated us to several new songs including Pretty Little Pennies, Kill Someone and Something Blue Something Borrowed. The story that prefaced Kill Someone had all of us in stitches as Bobby explained the song was about his sisters balding ex who was losing his teeth!
Ruston and Bobby then performed together much to the delight of our small gathering.
The night came to a close (much later than we had anticipated) with each of the boys taking photos and signing autographs for everyone who attended.
We ate, we drank and we laughed the whole night through!
It was wonderful to finally meet some of our fellow Britsters and spend a few days taking in the water park with our kids as well as witnessing the breathtaking scenery of the great Smoky
Mountains.
All in all this show was a huge success. We learned a few lessons along the way as to how we can make it even better next year!

besides the talent, that I've been dying to see. Tawa ... you are just as I imagined you'd be. Beautiful and friendly and giving to a fault (*blushes* thanks babe!).
Tawa and Mindy, you did real good! Food, drinks, good-looking men who know how to swoon women with their heartfelt singing. What more could one ask for? Oh yeah ... for a certain someone to tag along next time (LOL, well work on that Jen!)
I can't wait for the next time btw. In fact, I am really looking forward to it! This show was one of the best memories I'll carry with me. Another amazing memory I can thank a certain British guy for ... never would have known any of these fine folks if not for that one fact.

A Night in Gatlinberg by
Jennifer Stinson
I've been there dozens of times but this time was different.
First of all, this is the first time I've ever spent only one night there. The first time I've not gone up Clingman's Dome to see the sights. The first time I've not gone to Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen and come home with sweets. And the first time I've had the pleasure of being in a room full of wonderful women and three awesome men.
Meeting Bobby Long and Ruston Kelly was great. Listening to them play and sing was fantastic. They are both very talented artists and I expect to hear great things out of them in the future.
The intimacy of the setting was wonderful. It was like being in a room full of friends; a small party for Brit-loving folks. Oh wait ... that's exactly what it was~!
Later, when I revealed that I was a few blocks down listening to Marcus and Ruston sing, Bobby called me on it. Yeah ... I must admit that while I shouldn't pick favorites ... I will. Bobby is way cooler than Marcus, sorry Marcus!
Bobby and Ruston seemed like old friends and the music and laughter made the night one that I'll never forget. I think we should vote Ruston in as an official member of the Brit-Pack =) (we think so too Jen!).
I'd be lying if I said I came down there just for the music. Truth is, there were some people there
