Margaret Ann Dowling
Margaret Ann is a self confessed magazine addict and publishing enthusiast ! Irish, she went to the frontiers
of Central Europe in 1992 when was she one of the founding mothers of the media & publishing industry in the
Central European markets witnessing the birth of a consumer economy and having spent more then 20 years
as an entrepreneur and corporate executive running media companies ranging in size from start ups to 80 mill
euro enterprises. Margaret Ann has a unique view on how media and content can shape society and the
consumer market.
Margaret Ann studied psychology and philosophy in UCD, she attended the Singularity University executive
program in 2015 where she first explored first hand the concept of how exponential technology can be applied
to solving business challenges. Having completed her most recent and largest re-engineering project for
Burda in Poland and the Czech Republic, she is now completing an executive program in corporate innovation
at Stanford Graduate School of Business which applying for funding for her latest seedling
project createandtranslate.org . Margaret Ann mentors start ups in Central Europe which a strong interest in
companies focusing on the collaborative economy with a sustainability agenda. She believes in the power of a
single person to improve the lives of many,
