THE BENT FALL 2021 Candelaria Alayon, Stabile No. 1007 Candelaria is a mechanical engineering senior with an entrepreneurship minor at the University of Tulsa. She is a univer- sity ambassador, peer mentor, and OK Beta Chapter president. She is involved in the Society of Hispanic Engineers, ASME, and is passionate about K-12 STEM education. She is currently a business engineering intern at Williams. Aſter graduat- ing, Candelaria hopes to pursue a career in project engineering and eventually earn a master’s degree. Melanie Alpert, Stabile No. 993 Melanie is a senior mechanical engineering major with a packaging engineering certificate at Rutgers University. She currently serves as NJ Beta Chapter public relations chair, and is involved with Pi Tau Sigma, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Society of Plastics Engineers. She is a development program management intern at Fisher- Price for summer 2021 and hopes to pursue a career in the consumer goods industry. Gabriela C. Blanchard, Schwaller No. 11Gabriela is studying chemical engineering with a data

science minor at Colorado School of Mines. Her goal is to pursue a master’s degree in engineering & technology management to complement her technical engi-neering degree with business skills. After college, she plans to gain

experience in a technical eng’g role and gradually move into manage-

ment. Gabriela is excited to see where the future takes her and continue learning from peers and those in industry.

Annika M. Bergstrom, Scribner No. 60Annika is a rising senior studying environmental engi-

neering with a Spanish minor at Michigan Technological Univer-sity. She serves as MI Beta Chapter initiation chair. Additionally, this upcoming academic year, Annika will be a coach for the civil and environmental engineering learn-ing center and a section leader in

the Huskies Pep Band. After graduation in spring 2022, she plans to work in remediation or water treatment/resources.

Joshua E. Bigley, Dodson No. 84Joshua is majoring in petroleum engineering and minor-

ing in mathematics at the University of Wyoming. He interned at the drilling and completions simulation laboratory and worked as a tutor & TA for mathematics and petroleum engineering courses. He performed undergraduate research, served as the president for the International Association of Drilling Contractors,

and plans to resume his career in the oil and gas industry after graduation and also pursue a graduate degree.

Caleb M. Bengs, McCaleb No. 1 Caleb is pursuing a double-major in aerospace and

mechanical engineering at Okla-homa State University with math-ematics and computer science minors. He is Pi Tau Sigma chapter president and Sigma Gamma Tau chapter VP at OSU. Caleb also serves as an intern for the OSU Center for Integrated Building Systems, assisting with research concerning

compressor technologies. He plans to pursue a graduate degree in aerospace engineering.

Andrew D. Bergmann, Record No. 1742Andrew is a civil engineering student at Ohio Northern

University. He is an active member of the Ohio Iota Chapter and is also active in ASCE, Concrete Canoe, Religious Life, and Marching Band on campus. Andrew hopes to attend graduate school in civil engineer-ing and work as a city engineer in the future.

Marisa N. Bausone, Record No. 1727Marisa is a senior chemical engineering major at Vir-

ginia Commonwealth University. She participated in undergraduate research and gained experience at Dupont, Dominion, and Altria. She serves as VA Epsilon Chapter cor-responding secretary and AICHE chapter president. In her free time, she guides outdoor adventure trips for students. These experiences

have inspired professional goals in manufacturing with a focus in sustainable & safe engineering.

Juan S. Banchs, Forge No. 112Having lived in Venezuela, Spain, Singapore, and the U.S.,

Juan considers himself a global citi-zen who loves learning about dif-ferent cultures—from Bollywood dancing to Chinese Caligraphy or a good game of soccer. Juan loves to challenge himself and continues to seek exciting projects (like creat-ing an energy-efficient vehicle) in preparation for a career in themed

entertainment or design.

Duncan T. Bauserman, Stabile No. 984Duncan is majoring in mechanical engineering and

minoring in business through the honors program at the University of Kansas. He will finish his stud-ies in May 2022. Duncan hopes to quickly start work after graduating and apply what he has learned. Plans include graduate school, a few years later for an MBA, and to pursue a more business related

career as a financial consultant.

Abigail P. Bandl, Record No. 1694Abigail is a biomedical engineering student at Bing-

hamton University. She serves as NY Tau Chapter president for the 2021-22 school year. Abigail is also the secretary of AEMB, captain of the club field hockey team, and a member of Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. She plans on pursuing a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and later

a career in bioprocessing.

Oreoluwa A. Babatunde, Stabile No. 926Oreoluwa is a senior at the University of Wyoming

studying computer engineering and is an undergraduate research intern with the department of electrical and computer engineer-ing. His research focuses on us-ing microcontrollers to interface with sensors, motors, and other

mechanical devices. Oreoluwa is also a summer Intern with Qual-

comm working on the upcoming snapdragon chip. He aspires to go into robotics research.

Ethan A. Beachy, Stabile No. 1002Ethan is a senior mechanical engineering student

at Cedarville University, where h is capstone projec t i s to

develop hydrofoil control systems for the solar boat competition team. He enjoys disc golf, play-ing on the school’s club ultimate team, harmonica, singing, and being involved in his church. He is

interning with Astec Mobile Screens for the summer of 2021 and envisions working after graduation before pursuing further education.

Thomas A. Batt, Dechman No. 7Thomas is currently studying chemical engineering at

the United States Military Acad-emy. During his senior year, he will begin research in the area of flow batteries. After graduation, Thomas will join the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant, eager and ready to serve his country.

McKenzie A. Barlow, Stabile No. 952McKenzie is studying electrical engineering at Cedarville

University. She has served for three years in leadership roles with the Society of Women in Engineering chapter on campus. She will also serve as OH Nu Chapter VP for the 2021-22 academic year. Her con-centration is in power engineering, she hopes to enter the renewable energy industry to improve solar

power, and to aid developing countries by bringing them the power they need.

Erika A. Auner, Record No. 1687Erika is a senior at Lawrence Technological University

in Michigan. She is majoring in biomedical engineering with a pre-medicine concentration and chemistry minor. Erika is MI Eta Chapter president and is an active member on campus in other organizations such as Alpha Eta Mu Beta National Biomedical Engineering Honors Society and

off-campus as a hospice volunteer.

Sterling Belaire, Forge No. 120Sterling is a mechanical engineering major at San

Diego State University. He has been involved with research in the advanced materials processing lab and thermal combustion lab at SDSU. Sterling spent the past year working on the design of a novel clean energy system at Icarus RT, and works at General Atomics Aeronautical as a mechanical en-

gineering intern. He hopes to work as a R&D engineer to help innovate the space or nuclear energy industry.

Madison R. Bland, Alford No. 21Madison is a senior studying electrical engineering at The

College of New Jersey. She serves as the president of both IEEE and Women Engineers in Computer and Electrical Engineering. She is a research track student working in the collaborative robotics and intelligent systems laboratory and she has completed an REU with the Univ. of California San Diego.

Madison intends to pursue a Ph.D. which will allow her to continue her research and become a professor.

Ognjen Bosic, Stabile No. 996Ognjen is an international student from Bosnia and

Herzegovina studying mechanical engineering at University of Roch-ester. He is a huge fan of cars and Formula 1. Hence, Ognjen is part of Baja SAE, off-road racing vehicle team, and is doing an internship at Canoo, an EV start-up company. Finally, he is part of a research group and wants to focus on EVs

for his Ph.D. research.

Ethan Buerck, Skaggs No. 7Ethan is a junior studying computer and electrical

engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is an intern for First State Community Bank in the information technology depart-ment. Ethan intends to pursue a career in software engineering or imbedded computing following graduation, but notes that he just wants to make a positive impact

on the lives of those around him.

Noah D. Burhell, Stabile No. 966Noah is a senior majoring in industrial engineering and

minoring in reliability and main-tainability engineering and honors leadership studies at the University of Tennessee. He is involved in the honors leadership program and has worked five terms in the automo-tive and pulp and paper industries. This summer, he is working as a capital project engineering intern at

International Paper. After graduation, he plans to work as a reliability engineer in the pulp and paper industry.

Sydney K. Bules, Record No. 1682Sydney is a biomedical engineering major at the Georgia

Institute of Technology. Through-out college, she has worked as an undergraduate research assistant in an on-campus cancer lab, as an engineering associate for a start-up cardiovascular medical device company, and as a device engineering intern within the pharmaceutical industry. After

graduation, she plans to pursue a career in research and design of biomedical devices.

Adam J. Restifo, Fife Scholar No. 8Adam is studying mechanical engineering at

Youngstown State University. He plans to look for graduate pro-grams, preferably in the field of thermodynamics/fluids. Another option is to seek a job at the com-pany where he has been interning to help fund the cost of his master’s tuition.

Catherine A. Burr, Record No. 1705Catherine is a junior at Colorado State University

dual majoring in biomedical and mechanical engineering. On cam-pus, she works as a lab engineer for CSU’s cancer prevention lab, designing, building, and repairing equipment for research studies. Catherine has also succeeded as a team lead in CSU’s COVID testing operation. She enjoys CAD model-

ing, hopes to help develop medical devices, and is inter-ested in customizable implants & life support equipment.

Elizabeth Breitbach, Record No. 1713Elizabeth is majoring in chemical engineering and mi-

noring in biochemical eng’g at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She is an undergraduate researcher and is participating in an REU at East Carolina Univ., modeling visual scanning for concussion testing. Elizabeth is also the vol-unteer coordinator at a supportive housing unit for families suffering

from long term homelessness. She has goals of linking biomedical advances and personalized healthcare.

Allison R. Buffenbarger, Stabile No. 947 Allison is an electrical engineering major with a concen-

tration in power engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. Serving as NJ Alpha Chapter alumni chair, she is also captain of the field hockey team and president of the student athlete advisory committee. Allison is interning at BP as a project

controls intern and hopes to pursue a career in the energy industry.

Olivia M.L. Brasher, Dodson No. 83Olivia is a senior studying electrical and computer

engineering at the University of Southern California. She conducts research in optics and quantum information sciences and plans to pursue graduate degrees in these fields. This summer, she is work-ing as an engineering intern at Medtronic. On campus, she is a TA for linear algebra and electromag-

netics, a member of Society of Women Engineers, and a leader on the student board at USC Hillel.

Ireland S. Braudaway, Stabile No. 936Ireland is an electrical engineering major at the Univer-

sity of Alabama and a rising senior. She is involved in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Eta Kappa Nu electrical engineering honor soci-ety, IEEE, and Society of Women Engineers. She is currently an intern at Parsons. Ireland is look-ing forward to pursuing a career in electrical engineering after graduation.

Remy E. Braun, Jischke No. 1Remy is a senior studying mechanical engineering with

a minor in biomedical eng’g at Iowa State University. She is an undergraduate researcher at the integrated design and engineering analysis lab creating 3-D heart models from patient CT scans. She is also involved with the ISU Biomedical Engineering Society and is an EMT serving the Ames

community. Remy plans to attend medical school and continue her engineering research.

Kerry M. Blatney, Record No. 1675 Kerry is a senior studying bioengineering at the Univer-

sity of Pennsylvania with minors in French and mathematics. She is a member of Penn Engineering Council, club field hockey, and Tri Delta Sorority as vice president of community relations. She has done research at New York Blood Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This summer, she is a

worldwide safety associate at Pfizer. She hopes to pursue a career in biotechnology.

Andrew M. Byrne, Stabile No. 1023Andrew is a fifth-year senior in mechanical engineer-

ing at Marquette University. He is a manufacturing engineering intern at LG Energy Solution in the

assembly department. During his senior year, besides taking classes, he will be a teaching assistant for two physics labs. Andrew was elected WI Beta Chapter president for Spring 2021. After graduation,

he hopes to remain working within the automotive manufacturing field.

Emily B. Buten, Stabile No. 1004 Emily is a mechanical engineering student with a minor

in Spanish at the University of Dayton. She completed three in-ternships in MEP consulting and a fourth internship in product design and testing. She has a certificate in applied creativity for transforma-tion, is a member of the Grand Challenge Scholars Program, and works in the education abroad

department helping students. She hopes to pursue a degree in engineering education.

Amelia F. Burnett, Stabile No. 1579Amelia is a computer science major at the University

of Kentucky with a double minor in piano performance and math. During the school year, she tutors Calculus III and is a secretary for Engineering Student Council. Ame-lia has participated in two intern-ships so far in her undergraduate studies, interned with Appriss Health and Computer Services,

Inc., and after graduation plans to pursue a career in software engineering.

Braden K. Carroll, Record No. 1706Braden is a senior majoring in chemical & biological

engineering, with minor in bio-medical eng’g, at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She serves as AIChE student chapter president and for the past two years her research has focused on creating progressive medicines for the treatment of antibiotic resistance. Braden also serves as a course

assistant in the chemical eng’g department. Upon gradu-ation, she hopes to pursue a higher education degree.

Yuanqi (Reggie) Cai, Stabile No. 929Reggie is a senior studying computer science and

finance at Washington University in St. Louis. He has conducted research on treatments for triple negative breast cancer, worked at a Sling Health startup, and helped create a nationwide student-run startup studio organized virtually. On campus, he is president of the student investment fund and vol-

unteered for the campus YMCA. Reggie plans on pursu-ing a career at the intersection of business and tech.

Stephen E. Cahoon III, Record No. 1748Stephen is a computer engineering major at the

University of South Alabama and Alabama Epsilon Chapter vice president for the 2021-22 academic year. He is performing research on the use of deep learn-ing algorithms for the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. After gradua-tion, Stephen plans to obtain both a master’s and doctorate degree in

computer engineering in hopes of becoming a professor.

Wonyoung Choi, Stabile No. 958Wonyoung is a rising fourth-year student majoring in

electrical engineering and minor-ing in computer science at Case Western Reserve University. She was recently elected as the OH Alpha Chapter public relations chair. This year, she is excited to gain experience as a user experi-ence design intern at Polaris and a software consultant coop at

Atomic Object. She is also involved in the Society of Women Engineers and CWRU’s Ultimate Frisbee club.

Clare C.Y. Chong, Record No. 1711Clare is a senior in chemical engineering with music and

chemistry minors at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is co-captain of the ChemE Car team while serving as an engineering ambassador for UL Lafayette. She works as a resident assistant on-campus and interned for Bayer Crop Science and W.R. Grace and Co. Her goal is to pursue a doctoral

degree after gaining a few years of experience in the engineering field.

Caroline A. Christensen, Stabile No. 964Caroline is a senior at Northwestern University study-

ing industrial engineering. She is involved in Northwestern Univer-sity Dance Marathon, serving on the executive board as the finance committee co-chair. In addition to Tau Beta Pi, she is a member of Mortar Board. Caroline is intern-ing at Facebook this summer. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a

career in either tech or consulting.

Colin E. Chun, Forge No. 109Colin is a junior studying mechanical engineering at the

California Institute of Technology. He is also pursuing minors in com-puter science and aerospace. Colin is involved in machine learning research and participated with Caltech’s FSAE and swim teams. Additionally, he has interned at the Aerospace Corporation and the startup Rollo Motion. After

graduation, Colin plans on entering the controls systems and/or robotics industry.

Michael S. Clark, Record No. 1691Michael is double majoring in biomedical engineering

and philosophy at North Carolina State University where he serves as NC Alpha Chapter events chair. He is involved in research on the gait patterns of lower limb amputees for the neuromuscular rehabilitation engineering labora-tory. After graduation, he aims to complete a master’s by research

in Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and ultimately plans to pursue a coordinated JD/Ph.D. program.

Nicholas Clayton, GEICO No. 67Nicholas is a senior at Western Kentucky University. He

is studying electrical engineering and aspires to become a practic-ing electrical engineer upon graduation.

Samantha E. Cobado, Skaggs No. 8Samantha is a senior studying electrical and com-

puter engineering and minoring in computer science at Cornell University. She serves as electrical subteam lead for Cornell Univer-sity unmanned air systems, course manager for an introduction to data science and machine learning class, and is chapter president of Phi Sigma Pi. Samantha plans to

pursue a career specializing in silicon validation.

Andrew C. Cochran, Stabile No. 951Andrew is majoring in electrical engineering with a

Spanish minor at Ohio Northern University. He’s a captain of the varsity tennis team, research as-sistant on anti-reflective coatings, and chair of IEEE. He has interned at Schaeffler Automotive, ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Marathon Petro-leum Corp., and the Naval Reactors Facility within Idaho National Lab.

He plans to pursue his Ph.D. in electrical engineering with a focus in sensor hardware development.

Ayden S. Cohn, Stabile No. 1017Ayden is a senior studying mechanical engineering

at Virginia Tech. He is double minoring in nuclear engineering and green engineering. During his senior year, Ayden plans to take graduate courses as part of an accelerated master’s program. When he is not busy with course-work, Ayden assists on an under-graduate research team that studies

nuclear fusion. Over the summer, Ayden interned at BWXT. He plans to pursue a career in the energy field.

John R. Conklin Jr., Stabile No. 1001John is a mechanical engineering student at the Univer-

sity of Cincinnati. Upon comple-tion of his B.S. in April 2022, he will finish his MEng over the summer. He served as OH Beta Chapter president his junior year and will serve as president of the Pi Tau Sigma chapter for senior year. John is also active in the co-ed service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, as

the sergeant at arms.

Michael J. Copley, Record No. 1745Michael is a civil engineering student passionate

about transportation. For the past two years, he has been working with one of his professors on travel demand research topics. Last December, the two of them pub-lished a paper with UDOT. Michael is the president of BYU AREMA and recently interned with Union Pacific Railroad. In the future, he

hopes to pursue rail engineering at a major rail company or design firm.

Allison Y. Chen, Forge No. 111Allison is a computer science major with a cognitive

science minor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she is heavily involved with the colle-giate chapter of Society of Women Engineers. In computer science, she is interested in exploring how software systems perceive and un-derstand the world around them with computer vision, cognitive

science, and machine learning. After graduation, she hopes to explore this area further via a Ph.D. program.

Miller A. Dickerson, Record No. 1677Miller is a biological engineering student at Louisiana

State University. She is working as a research assistant in the regenera-tive engineering lab aiming to de-velop engineered proteins targeted at regenerating cardiac tissue. She will serve as LA Alpha Chapter events chair for 2021-22. Miller is a member of SWE, American Medi-

cal Women’s Association, LSU Young Life, and Delta Gamma. She hopes to pursue an MD/Ph.D. program experience.

Ian P. Cox, Record No. 1728Ian is studying civil engineering for his undergradu-

ate degree and plans on going into the military after college. He also hopes to obtain a master’s degree in coastal engineering and

possibly go to the Northwest coast to continue his career.

Justin H. Cox, Record No. 1698Justin is a senior at the University of South Carolina

majoring in biomedical engi-neering, with a minor in math. He currently serves as SC Beta Chapter VP of events and is also a member of the South Carolina honors college. After graduation, he plans to attend graduate school and specialize in pharmaceutical engineering.

David M. Crooks, Record No. 1731David is a senior in the civil engineering program at

CU Denver. He plans to graduate in December 2021. His emphasis within the civil engineering pro-gram is hydrology and hydraulics. David hopes to work within the sustainable resource and conser-vation engineering fields post-graduation. Eventually, he would like to volunteer with Engineers

Without Borders and work on water resource problems across the globe.

Morgan M. Cupp, Skaggs No. 9Morgan is a senior electrical and computer engineer-

ing major at Cornell University, minoring in computer science. He has done undergraduate research on heterogeneous computing systems in Cornell’s computer sys-tems laboratory and is a member of the varsity cross-country and track teams. Morgan will be doing a pre-silicon validation internship

at Intel this summer and will pursue a master’s degree.

Alyssa Davis, Record No. 1738Alyssa is a rising senior at Stevens Institute of Technol-

ogy where she is studying civil engineering. She serves on the ex-ecutive board for Order of Omega Honor Society and Phi Sigma Sigma. She is involved in var-sity track & field, Gear & Triangle Honor Society, Chi Epsilon, SWE, and THON. Alyssa is designing mission critical buildings as a

structural engineering intern at Burns & McDonnell this summer and hopes to get her master’s in structural eng’g.

Anton G. De Lesseps, Nagel No. 59Anton is an applied mathematics student, concen-

trating in pure mathematics, at Northwestern University, with a computer science minor. He has participated in research on cata-strophic landslides and is an active member of the Northwestern in-stitute on complex systems and the sailing team (served as president in 2020). He hopes to work in data

science and then attend grad school.

Luiz A. De Siqueira Neto, Record No. 1734Luiz is a junior studying civil engineering with a minor

in materials engineering at North-western University. He works at a research lab studying the effects of nanoparticles on the structural properties of recycled aggregate concrete. He plans to pursue a master’s degree in structural engi-neering during his senior year, and after graduation, he hopes to work

at the intersection of structural design and construction materials analysis.

Berkay R. Dean, Stabile No. 956Berkay is majoring in electrical engineering and

minoring in computer science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is vice president of the UTChattSat Club and UTC men’s soccer club. Berkay par-ticipates in research year-round regarding radiation effects on microelectronics, plans on con-tinuing this research for graduate

school, and intends to pursue a career in this field.

Shubh Desai, Record No. 1702Shubh is a senior biomedical engineering major with

a certificate in pre-health profes-sions. He has served as TX Alpha Chapter VP of operations and trea-surer, AEMB chapter president, and pre-health coordinator for the BMES chapter. He has worked as an undergraduate researcher at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and in the laboratory for cardio-

vascular engineering & therapeutics, co-authoring two publications. He plans to attend medical school.

Ethan A. Deters, Alabama Power No. 18Ethan is studying nuclear engineering with a minor

in materials science. He is in-volved with research on advanced nuclear fuel manufacturing and plans to obtain at least a master’s degree in nuclear engineering. After earning a graduate degree, Ethan hopes to pursue a career in either the manufacturing or licensing of advanced nuclear reactors.

Elizabeth K.C. Diaz-Gunning, Record No. Elizabeth is a senior at the University of Portland

studying civil engineering with a minor in innovation. She is a student researcher investigating the occurrence of microplastics in urban stormwater runoff, as well as the use of bioretention columns to explore how microplastics move through soil. Elizabeth will be pursuing a graduate degree in the

field of water resources.

Savannah L. Dilley, Record No. 1730Savannah is a junior studying civil engineering at

the Colorado School of Mines. She participates in the CO Alpha chapter, is a part of the Society of Women Engineers, and plays the flute in Mine’s Orchestra. She hopes to complete a masters’ degree after her undergraduate degree, and pursue a career in water resources.

Elizabeth DeFazio, Record No. 1715Elizabeth is a rising senior studying chemical engineer-

ing at Rutgers University. She has internship experiences at LabCorp, Johnson & Johnson, Phillips 66, and Merck. These opportunities inspired her to pursue a rotational program at a pharmaceutical com-pany after graduation. Elizabeth will be the local Society of Women Engineers section president and a

school of engineering student ambassador this upcom-ing school year.

Shrikeshav P. Deshmukh, Forge No. 110Shri is an undergraduate junior studying mechanical

Institute of Technology, serves as GA Alpha Chapter president, is a member of the Yellow Jacket March-ing Band, and served as the Pi Tau Sigma vice president of operations. His internship at Georgia Tech research institute involves transient and steady state thermal simulation of micron scale electronics. He will

pursue a graduate degree in mechanical engineering.

Patrick A. Duane, Stabile No. 930Patrick is a senior majoring in computer science and

minoring in electrical engineer-ing at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He is interning as a software developer for the advanced RF systems group at BlueHalo, where he plans to work after graduation. He also hopes to pursue a master’s in

mechanical engineering. Outside of work, he is heavily involved with mentoring and volunteering for the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition.

Emma A. Drum, Stabile No. 1013Emma is studying mechanical engineering at the Uni-

versity of Tennessee. She will serve as TN Alpha Chapter service chair for the 2021-22 school year. She is also an ambassador for the UTK Engineering professional practice and is a member of the Society of Women Engineers. She has

interned for EPRI and Duke Energy and co-oped for Georgia Power

Company. Emma plans to work in the utility industry and become a Professional Engineer after graduation.

Lauren E. Eccles, Sickafoose No. 10Lauren is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knox-

She has performed research in ceramic synthesis and durability and is researching topics in biomate-rial design and development using natural biopolymers. the 2021-22 academic year. Lauren hopes to attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D. in chemical eng’g.

Yichen Fang, Record No. 1690Yichen is a senior studying biomedical engineering at

Saint Louis University and serves as MO Epsilon Chapter recording sec-retary. She is president of the Society of Women Engineers and patient liaison’s executive president of the Health Resource Center providing free healthcare to the community. She has conducted clinical research

focused on social determinants of health. Yichen plans to continue her education at SLU School of Medicine.

Morgan S. Ezell, Soden No. 18In the fall, Morgan will be a senior in chemical

engineering at Colorado School of Mines with a minor in compu-tational and applied math. She is originally from Trophy Club, TX, and will continue her education at Mines in the Fall of 2022 with the engineering & technology manage-ment master’s program. Morgan is also a member of AIChE, Sigma

Kappa Sorority, and participates in undergraduate research in the chemical engineering department.

Spencer C. Ercanbrack, Stabile No. 1029Spencer is a senior majoring in nuclear engineering at

Idaho State University and ID Beta Chapter president. He is an NRC licensed senior reactor operator for ISU’s AGN-201m research reactor. Past research focused on optimizing Pu-238 production at INL to support NASA’s RTG-based missions. Spencer is performing research and development of a

software application to support the light water reactor sustainability project.

Audrey C. Fanning, Stabile No. 991Audrey is a senior studying mechanical engineering

at Stevens Institute of Technol-ogy. Upon graduating with her undergraduate degree in spring of 2022, she plans on staying an extra semester at Stevens to complete her master’s degree in ocean engineer-ing. In addition to her academic commitments, Audrey is also one of the captains of the women’s varsity

swim team. She plans on pursuing a future career in coastal resilience and sustainability.

Casey A. Freeman, Record No. 1725Casey is majoring in chemical engineering and minor-

ing in energy and sustainability at the University of Houston. He serves as Chem-E-Car team captain, president of the Chem-E brew club, and UH’s NACME ambassador. Casey is conducting research with the Texas Center for Clean Engines, Emissions, and Fuels. He plans to attend graduate school for chemi-

cal engineering and pursue a career in industry R&D.

Caroline M. Franklin, Stabile No. 974Caroline is a senior in mechanical engineering, an un-

dergraduate aerospace eng’g research assistant, and serves as a member on the guidance, navigation, and controls team. She is AL Epsilon Chapter president and Phi Kappa Phi student vice president. Caroline is a supplemental instructor, TA, and group fitness instructor, all of which have enhanced her leadership

skills. She plan to pursue a master’s degree and continue research in aerospace engineering.

Emmy R. Francek, Record No. 1697Emmy is studying biomedical engineering at the Uni-

versity of Oklahoma. She has been a member of the Wilhelm Lab, of nanomedicine & immunoengineer-ing, since 2019. Emmy’s research focus is in the polarization of mac-rophages using encapsulated drugs for cancer treatment. With a goal of becoming a physician scientist, she intends to pursue an MD/Ph.D.,

develop innovative strategies for safe & effective cancer treatment, and empower the next generation of engineers.

Cecilia P. Fugaro, Record No. 1673Cecilia is majoring in architectural engineering and

plans to minor in business. She had the honor of being the MO Beta Chapter corresponding secretary and the treasurer of the Missouri University S&T photography club. Cecilia plans to work towards a graduate degree, enjoys lighting and interior design, and intends to pursue a job where she can develop

Kellen R. Dorsey, Brems No. 16Kellen is a senior studying aerospace engineering at

San Diego State University. He is heavily involved in community outreach and youth ministry in San Diego County. He is interning as an airworthiness certification engineer at General Atomics and plans to stay in the industry after graduating. Things most important to Kellen include family, commu-

Joel Z. Faynshmidt, Stabile No. 959Joel studies electrical engineering and economics at

Binghamton University. Keeping with the spirit of engineering, he works as a peer advisor and is a teaching assistant for electronic cir-cuits. He has interned at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and BP in electrical engineering roles. Joel is returning to BP as an intern in their trading

and shipping business. He plans to work in the energy industry as it transitions towards a cleaner future.

Kinor “Kori” S. Eliaz, Stabile No. 937Kori is a senior studying electrical engineering at Color-

ado State University. Her pas-sion for aerospace led to three internships with Lockheed Martin, where she supports the Dragonfly mission as a systems eng’g intern. She is founder and president of the SEDS chapter at CSU and volunteers as a NASA mission

ambassador. After graduation, Kori plans to pursue her graduate degree and continue working for Lockheed as a systems engineer.

graduation, he plans to pursue a master’s degree and work for a greener tomorrow. Joshua V. Go, Forge No. 107Joshua is majoring in mechanical engineering at the

University of California, Riverside. He is involved with several aero-space organizations on campus and serves as the CA Alpha Beta Chapter treasurer. Joshua spent the sum-mer volunteering at the Fairview Alternate Care Site assisting the administration during the pan-demic. He hopes to pursue a career

within aerospace or energy to help create a cleaner future.

Benjamin D. Gersten, Stabile No. 1008Benjamin is a mechanical engineering major at Lafayette

College. As part of the ASME board during his junior year, he is ensuring a smooth transition of knowledge and experience during the pan-demic between past and future board members and is aiding in an electric tractor conversion project. After graduation, Ben hopes to pursue a career in robotics, returning to

graduate school briefly to get further education in either business or advanced engineering.

majoring in biomedical engineer-ing at Vanderbilt University and the incoming TN Beta Chapter secretary. He researches novel drug delivery solutions as a part of the advanced therapeutics laboratory. In addition, Shubham is involved with student organizations, rang-

ing from the school’s Engineering Council to the South Asian Cultural Exchange. Shubham will pursue an M.D. after he graduates and aspires to be a physician-scientist.

Theo W. Guidroz, Kaplan No. 1Theo is a fourth year bachelor’s of science in com-

puter engineering and master’s of artificial intelligence candidate at Illinois Institute of Technology. He serves as president of his IEEE chapter and as business director of WIIT 88.9 FM. He has held multiple research positions work-ing with deep learning and com-

puter vision technologies and anticipates launching his career in autonomous driving as a perception engineer.

Lauren O. Grove, Record No. 1674Lauren is studying bioengineering at Northeastern Uni-

versity. She is a Husky ambassador, peer mentor for freshman engineer-ing students, and former project lead of the Guatemala program of Engineers Without Borders. She has experience in cancer research at both the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and the functional genomics team at Tango Therapeu-

tics. Lauren hopes to begin working in industry and then pursue graduate school.

Scout. He has been at the top of his class for most of his time at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. After graduation, James plans to continue learning, traveling the world, and doing what good he can with his life and knowledge.

Luke Haider, Brems No. 18Luke, from Huntsville, Alabama, studies aerospace engi-

neering as a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He has studied geothermal energy abroad in Iceland and will be his company’s executive officer in the fall of 2021. Luke aspires to become an ensign in the Navy and pursue graduate education after his service.

Jessica C. Harding, Stabile No. 950Jessica is pursuing an integrated B.S./M.S. in electri-

cal engineering at Case Western Reserve University. She has interned at Rockwell Automation in embed-ded software and at IBM in processor physical design. On campus, she is a member of IEEE and Women in Science and Engineering as well as a circuits teaching assistant. Jessica is

researching the use of physically unclonable functions and their application in IoT device authentication.

Ashlyn M. Haack, Stabile No. 980Ashlyn is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering

and minoring in music technology at Iowa State University. She is an undergraduate TA, section guide in the marching band, secretary of the Cantamus Women’s choir, volunteers with Kairos student ministry, and is involved with the Society of Women Engineers, PrISUm solar car team,

and The Fashion Show. She has interned for Garmin and John Deere and plans to pursue her master’s degree.

Aurora L.J.X. Greane, Record No. 1683Aurora is a dual degree student at Northwestern Uni-

computer science at Caltech. She enjoys working on projects in the avionics division of Caltech’s rock-etry team, conducting research on wearable biosensors, and serving as Caltech’s student government secre-tary, organizing outreach programs with aspiring young engineers. She

is interning at Raytheon Missiles & Defense and plans to pursue a career in the aerospace/defense industry.

Amanda K. Hertel, Record No. 1710Amanda is studying chemical engineering at the

University of Kansas, serves as KS Alpha Chapter VP for the 2021-22 academic year, is a research assistant in a biomolecular eng’g lab, and an undergraduate teaching fellow. She also volunteers at Lawrence Memo-rial Hospital and is a FIRST Robotics mentor. This summer, she attended

the MERRIT summer research fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. She hopes to attend medical school.

Logan M. Hill, Brems No. 14Logan is a senior studying aerospace engineering with

a concentration in astronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Uni-versity (Prescott, AZ). During the school year, he researches additive manufacturing, is a tutor, and a leader in the Greek life community. He is undertaking a virtual intern-ship with UAMMI. After graduat-

ing, he plans to pursue a career in the space industry.

Brandon G. Ho, Stabile No. 995Brandon’s present studies are in mechanical engineer-

ing with computer science and math minors. At Cooper Union, he is the electronic subsystem lead of Cooper Motorsports, president and mechanic of the cycling club, a makerspace operator, and a phys-ics tutor. His passion for physics, programming, mechanical engineer-

ing, and electrical engineering inspires him to pursue a master’s in robotic/mechatronics engineering and to join industry later.

Nora I. Himed, Stabile No. 923Nora is a computer engineering major at the University

of Dayton. She serves as OH Theta Chapter secretary and secretary of the Society of Women Engineers for the 2021-22 academic year. This summer, she is conducting research at the Autonomy Technol-ogy Research Center in Dayton, OH, alongside the Air Force Research

Laboratory in autonomous systems for SAR image clas-sification education. She hopes to continue exploring her passion for software development.

Taylor A. Hodes, Brems No. 17Taylor is a junior at the University of Kansas majoring in

Jonghyun Hwang, Stabile No. 982Jonghyun is studying mechanical engineering at the

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has studied elasto- capillarity phenomena on soft ma-terials and worked on developing an elastic material 3D printer and a biomimetic soft robot. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. to develop hierar-chically architectured materials that mimic biological components; by

doing so, he hopes to reduce the gap between the living and non-living throughout his career.

Jeremy Inducil, Forge No. 116Jeremy is double majoring in civil and environmental

engineering at the University of California, Davis. He serves as vice president of Engineers Without Borders, treasurer for the ASCE Environmental Project Team, and a tutor for the university. He conducts research in environmental geochem-istry, studying contaminant cycling

in order to address water quality issues. After graduation, Jeremy plans to pursue a master’s degree in environmental engineering and work towards P.E. certification.

Daniel B. Isin, Stabile No. 938As a child, Daniel was always in awe about how gadgets

worked. He thought whoever made them were the coolest people and he wanted to be like them. Just like the engineers who made those gadgets that made him happy, Daniel wants to spend his career designing and making things that will put smiles on people’s faces. He is eager to make his mark in the embedded systems and

communications industries.

Kathryn J. Jackson, Record No. 1724Kathryn is studying chemical engineering at the Uni-

versity of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She serves as a TN Zeta Chapter officer and is also involved with AIChE and SWE student chapters. She has been working on a research project since her freshman year and plans to get a job in research and development after graduation.

University of Minnesota, Duluth, and is MN Beta Chapter president for the 2021-22 academic year. He conducts research on mercury contamination remediation and other aquatic envi-ronmental engineering challenges. He is investigating the effectiveness of activated carbon in reducing

mercury concentrations in surface and porewater. After graduation, Mitchell plans on attending graduate school to further his research and academic skills.

Through her college’s work experience program, she has gained experience from a large defense contractor unit test-ing a C++ codebase. She has also interned for a large tech company developing solutions to integrate

enterprise applications. She is enrolled in her college’s accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program.

Rahul S. Joglekar, Record No. 1722Rahul is a senior chemical engineering and biomedical

engineering major at Carnegie Mel-lon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, PA. He has conducted research with the Grossmann Research Group on MINLP problems in chemical engi-neering processes, and he is captain of CMU Bhangra, an Indian dance team at CMU. After graduation, his plan is to work in an industry aimed

at improving the world, such as renewable energy.

Elaina M. Johnson, Stabile No. 989Elaina is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering

at Saint Louis University. She works as a teaching assistant for a first-year introductory CAD class. She also spends her time tutoring through her campus’s student success center. After graduation, Elaina plans to attend graduate school and gain valuable experience in the work-

force. She hopes to settle into a teaching position where she can help shape the next generation of engineers.

Sophia E. Judge, Record No. 1688Sophia is a biomedical engineering student at Lawrence

Technological University. In ad-dition to being involved in ΤBP, she is also active in the Biomedical Engineering Society. This summer, Sophia is completing research at the Univ. of Alabama on using acoustic and electroglottography data to pro-vide a noninvasive option to assess

and diagnose communicative disorders. Sophia plans to complete an accelerated master’s progam.

Jennifer Jung, Stabile No. 927Jennifer is a senior in computer engineering and

computer science at the U.S. Naval Academy. She has interned at Draper Laboratory and conducts research in optimal neural network software and hardware architec-ture. She will commission into the U.S. Navy as an ensign upon graduation.

Meghana S. Kalluri, Record No. 1704Meghana is a junior at the Univ. of Wisconsin-

Madison, studying biomedical engineering with a focus in bioma-terials. In addition, she is pursuing a certificate in integrated studies in science, engineering, and society. She performs stem cell research at FujiFilm Cellular Dynamics, and is interested in pursuing tissue engi-neering in the future. Meghana is

also involved in Society of Women Engineers sector.

Nick G. Kaviani, Record No. 1703 Nick is a senior studying biomedical engineering at Vir-

ginia Commonwealth University. He is VA Epsilon Chapter president and passionate about the research and development field. He has com-pleted an R&D materials science co-op with Porex and is interning for Estee Lauder Companies in the R&D skin biology department.

After graduation, he hopes to pursue an industry posi-tion in a consumer goods or pharmaceutical company.

Kaitlyn Keaton, Dodson No. 81Kaitlyn is a senior computer engineering student on the

cybersecurity track at the Univer-sity of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She is involved in the Center for Women in Technology and Phi Mu Fraternity for Women at UMBC along with ΤBP. After graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school to further her education in cybersecurity.

Matthew C. Kennedy, Record No. 1735Matthew is a rising senior at Valparaiso University,

majoring in civil engineering. He has the privilege to serve as IN Delta Chapter treasurer and vice president of Valpo’s ASCE chapter. This sum-mer, he is interning with Burns & McDonnell in their transportation design group. Previously, he worked for the City of Naperville’s engineer-

ing department and W.B. Olson, a general contractor. Matthew intends to enter the transportation sector.

Estefanio M. Kesto, Stabile No. 945Estefanio is an undergraduate student at Michi-

g a n Te c h n o l o g i c a l U n i -ve r s i t y s tu d y i ng e l e c t r i c a l engineering with a concentration in photonics. He has an eagerness to learn about light detection, manipulation, and generation. He is actively engaged in research with a particular interest in magneto-

optics/photonics, nonreciprocal phenomena, and micro/nanofabrication of optical structures. Estefanio antici-pates on being a Ph.D. student within an optics program.

Catherine T. Kiela, Stabile No. 1014Catherine is a senior at Rice University studying mechanical engineering, with a

focus in dynamics. After comple-tion of her undergraduate degree, she hopes to use her experience performing engineering system

design for local Arizona compa-nies in order to begin a start-up

engineering company of her own.

Megan E. Kinnane, Record No. 1684Megan is a biomedical engineering student at Kansas

State University. With the diverse background provided by her curricu-lum, she hopes to pursue a career as a product & systems architect. Megan’s time overseas and involvement with an international student welcome team has given her a desire to aid communities without consistent ac-

cess to healthcare. Because of this, she would like to take her skillset overseas to help these communities directly.

Martin P. Kilbane, Stabile No. 1005Marty is a senior studying mechanical engineering at the

University of Dayton. He is the OH Theta Chapter vice president. Marty completed four co-op rotations at Heapy Engineering. After graduation, he has a full-time job while taking classes towards his master’s and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a focus on biomechanics.

Kyoung M. Kim, Stabile No. 973Kyoung is studying mechanical and electrical engineering

at the University of Michigan. His studies primarily involve mechatron-ics, controls, and signal processing. As a research assistant in the preci-sion systems design laboratory, he co-authored publications on the design and implementation of a novel ankle rehabilitation robot with compliant

transmission. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in robotics with an emphasis on human machine interfaces.

Tyler D. Kitch, Campbell No. 51 Tyler is studying computer engineering at Montana State

University. With the specialized tools he will have acquired with his degree, he hopes to contribute to the tech industry in one way or another. Tyler aspires to build a small business with some friends that specializes in smart home embedded system design and implementation. Combined with his trade knowledge of carpentry, they

could potentially fully design smart homes.

Rachael L. Judy, Stabile No. 922Rachael is pursuing a bachelor of science in computer

engineering at Cedarville Univer-sity and will be serving as Ohio Nu Chapter president for 2021-22. She is employed at the Autonomous and Navigation Technology Center and will study side channel attacks on an FPGA-based CPU for her senior design project. She hopes to earn

a graduate degree in computer eng’g and work with embedded design in industry.

Parker L. Kotlarz, Record No. 1681Parker is a biomedical engineering major at the University

of Florida. He conducts research ana-lyzing Alzheimer’s disease with fMRI and graph theory. He is FL Alpha Chapter vice president, member of the student health advisory council, and mentors undergraduates. He also interned at a neuroscience clinic and volunteers at a clinic for the unin-

sured. Parker plans to attend medical school and combine his passion for engineering and medicine.

Ashlyn R. Laird, Dodson No. 85Ashlyn studies chemical engineering at Arizona State

University and is a yield analysis intern at Intel. She has conducted research in python-based materi-als analysis for photocatalysis and recently completed her honors the-sis on arsenic adsorption by iron-impregnated biochar. Ashlyn plans to obtain a master’s in chemical

engineering through ASU’s 4+1 program with an eventual goal of working at a national laboratory or in industry with a focus on renewable energy.

Shannon Lamb, Forge No. 115Shannon is a biomedical engineering major with a neu-

roscience minor at the University of California, Davis. She is CA Lamb-da Chapter president (2020-22). She has been a research assistant for three years in the psychiatry department’s psychopathology and emotional processing lab, as well as the biomedical engineering

NeuroRobotics lab and TEAM lab. Shannon intends to combine her knowledge of eng’g and neuroscience in order to combat the trial-and-error prescription system of psychopharmaceuticals.

Sydney K. Lewis, Record No. 1732Sydney is a senior at the University of Hartford. She’s in

the honors program, majoring in civ-il engineering, with an environmen-tal eng’g concentration, and a minor in Psychology. Sydney’s an orienta-tion leader, Physics lab instructor, SWE chapter president, and an ambassador to her college. She interned at Mott MacDonald in MA

in their water/wastewater sector and has completed research for the Connecticut DOT on bridge conditions using neural networks.

Alexander Liebeskind, Stabile No. 921Alexander is a computer engineering student at Colum-

bia University pursuing minors in applied mathematics and political science. He serves as an ORISE Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration researching robotic surgical systems and medical policy. He also worked as an emergency medical technician and featured in the Wall Street Journal and USA

Today opinion sections. He plans to pursue a career at the intersection of computer eng’g and technology policy.

Kevin Lin, Stabile No. 949Kevin is currently an electrical engineering major with

a focus on cyber engineering at the United States Military Academy. Following graduation, Kevin will commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army where he hopes to attend grad school prior to becoming a military intel-ligence officer.

Evan N. Lipton, Stabile No. 977Evan is majoring in mechanical engineering and receiv-

ing certificates in energy studies and data science at Yale. He is CT Alpha Chapter president. On campus, he is involved in Camp Kesem where he has been a counselor for three years and serves on the board. Last semester, Evan interned at a hedge fund working on quantitative trading

strategies and is continuing through the summer. He is interested in pursuing a career involving clean technology.

Sydney Lobato, Stabile No. 960Sydney is a senior at Southern Methodist University

working toward a B.S. in engineering management information systems with a minor in environmental earth sciences. She is involved in Society of Women Engineers, is a Lyle Ambassador, and works in the Hunt Institute. She previously interned at mission support test services as

a project manager and interns at AT&T as a technical business manager. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in systems engineering.

Sarah Loshinsky, Record No. 1695Sarah is a senior at Binghamton University, studying

biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomaterials and biopharmaceuticals. This summer, she will be participating in an NSF REU Program at UC San Diego, where she will be conducting bio-materials research. Sarah is hoping to attend graduate school after

graduation, where she will pursue a Ph.D. in biomedi-cal engineering in order to further her involvement in research and academia.

Scotty P. Lucas, Forge No. 113Scotty is a mechanical engineering major at the Univer-

sity of the Pacific. He has served as president of the ASME and SAE col-legiate chapters for two years. Scotty created the Formula SAE team on campus with hopes of establishing an annual tradition of competing in the Formula SAE competition. He has interned at Toyota Motors North America and West Coast Magnetics.

He plans to pursue a career in the automotive industry after graduation.

Christopher P. Klopp, Stabile No. 1006Christopher is a mechanical engineering major with an

aerospace concentration at the Uni-versity of Dayton. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronau-tics and Astronautics and elected OH Theta Chapter initiation chair for the spring of 2021. He is undertaking a co-op opportunity with GE Avia-tion in the service and repair sector.

He plans to join the workforce as an engineer in the aerospace/defense industry after completing his studies.

Alyssa K. Kryzanski, Stabile No. 967Alyssa is a senior studying materials engineering at

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is working on research in atomic layer deposition and molecular layer deposition and is participating in an internship with NAVSUP WSS. She is also heavily involved with event planning on-campus as the chair of the student-run cinema. After gradu-ation, Alyssa plans to continue her

internship and attend graduate school.

Justin B. Leggin, Record No. 1699Justin is a rising senior majoring in biomedical engi-

neering and minoring in chem-istry at the University of South Carolina. Each summer, he works as a research assistant at the Uni-versity of Pennsylvania studying the effects of reproductive history on post-menopausal osteoporosis. After graduation, he hopes to attend

medical school and work to mitigate health disparities in communities with minimal access to healthcare.

Harin Lee, Record No. 1686Harin is a biomedical engineering major at Boston

engineering at Draper and Microsoft.

Joseph C. McKay, Stabile No. 1015Joseph is near completion of his bachelor’s degree in

mechanical engineering, empha-sizing sustainable and renewable energy engineering. He wants to help provide energy to the com-munity to positively impact every-one’s lives and possibly the world. His lifelong dream is to become a licensed professional mechanical

engineer. Joseph would like to do something great and give back to his community.

Liam Matthews, Record No. 1679Liam is an undergraduate student at Case Western

Reserve University studying bio-medical and electrical engineering, set to graduate in May 2022. Work-ing as a research assistant, he has studied human blood coagulation, creating computational models, and diagnostic devices focused in this space. Following his time at Case, he

will pursue a doctorate in biomedical eng’g, seeking to develop clinically relevant diagnostic devices, continuing on to a career in the medical device industry.

Nicole P. Martindale, Record No. 1733Nicole is a senior civil engineering major at Iowa State

architecture dual degree at Catholic University. After graduation, she plans to further her education by pursuing a master’s degree in urban policy or urban planning, where she can marry her creative and techni-cal backgrounds to contribute to the development of greener, more

Hazel E. McKenzie, Stabile No. 934Hazel is majoring in electrical and computer engineering

with a concentration in computer eng’g and minoring in mathematics and statistics from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also an active member of the TX Theta Chapter, IEEE, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and NSCS. Hazel’s next goal is to con-tinue her education with a master’s

of data and information sciences from the computer science engineering department at UTEP.

Madeline G. McKinney, Record No. 1696Madeline is working towards a bachelor’s degree in bio-

medical engineering with a minor in mechanical engineering. She will be staying an additional year at Miami University to complete her master’s degree in chemical and biomedical engineering, expecting to graduate in May of 2023. After graduation, Madeline hopes to work

in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry and help change the face of medicine.

Camilo E. Martinez Moyano, Record No. 1692Camilo is double majoring in biomedical engineering

and in mathematics and minoring in business at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is an interna-tional student from Colombia and conducted research in the area of mathematical modeling disease, limb prosthetics, and the use of geospatial technology in medicine.

Amanda D. McGraw, Stabile No. 963Amanda is studying industrial and systems engineering

and part of the swim and dive team at Binghamton University. She also conducts research in artificial intel-ligence and hold E-board positions for Society of Women Engineers and Institute of Industrial and Sys-tems Engineers. Upon graduation, Amanda plans to get a master’s in

ISE and travel abroad to further conduct research in AI in the future.

Tara M. Meeker, Record No. 1720Tara is a senior chemical engineering major at the Uni-

versity of Oklahoma. She will serve as American Institute of Chemical Engineers student chapter president for the 2021-22 academic year. Tara is interning with Ardagh Group at a glass manufacturing plant and plans to seek a career in manufacturing after graduation. Additionally, she

hopes to earn her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and Professional Engineer’s license in the near future.

sity double majoring in mechanical engineering and math, while also pursuing a business administration minor. She serves as the 2021-22 executive house manager of Chi Omega in Dallas. After graduation, Alyssa plans to continue her studies and pursue a master’s in business

administration after joining the work force for a few years. She hopes to broaden her horizons and work in both the engineering and business worlds.

Clayton E. Morgan, Stabile No. 988Clayton is a senior at the University of Missouri-Kansas

City while studying mechanical engineering. He has been part of the MO Delta Chapter for a couple of months and looks forward to his future in the organization. He is the design integration lead for the UMKC baja racing team, is a part-time TA, and an intern for

Honeywell Inc. Clayton aspires to be an engineer for a racing team in the future.

Marina D. Merritt, Record No. 1726Marina is studying chemical engineering at Brigham

Young University. She is a co-chair of the BYU student sustainability initiative, which seeks to promote organized sustainability efforts on campus. Marina hopes to use her education to optimize chemical processes to be more sustainable, both for the given organization, the community, and the environment.

She has interned at Reckitt in Salt Lake City and in her spare time she enjoys sharpening her cooking skills.

Kira L.S. Nicholson, Stabile No. 965Kira is a senior at Penn State Behrend majoring in indus-

trial engineering. She will serve as PA Mu Chapter VP and IISE chapter president. Kira is also a member of Society of Women Engineers and an athlete on Behrend’s track and cross country team. She is working on research developing interactive nonlinear stories and simulations

for manufacturing education. After graduation, Kira hopes to pursue a career focused in manufacturing or operations research.

David J. Mulligan III, Spirit of Apollo No. 8David is majoring in aerospace engineering and minor-

ing in mathematics at the University of Cincinnati. He is the incoming OH Beta Chapter vice president, while also serving on executive boards for Alpha Lambda Delta and AIAA. David has completed four co-ops, the most recent with a defense contractor called Blue Halo. After graduation, David will pursue

an engineering master’s degree; he then hopes to work full-time in the defense industry.

Alexander T. Metcalf, Record No. 1669Alexander is a senior studying aerospace engineering at

Syracuse University. Alex will serve as NY Beta Chapter secretary, in addition to serving as the president of SU’s chapter of Sigma Gamma Tau Honors Society. Alex received recognition as a 2021 Barry Gold-water Scholar and 2021 Department of Defense SMART Scholar. Most

recently, he proudly accepted the Astronaut Founda-tion Scholarship. Alex will pursue his master’s degree at Syracuse.

Matthew R. Metzloff, Record No. 1678Matt studies biological engineering at Cornell Univer-

sity. He is on the executive board for the NY Delta Chapter and he conducts research with the Clark lab at Cornell. His main research interests are related to CRISPR gene drives. He plans to further these interests by pursuing a Ph.D.

William T. Murphy, Stabile No. 990William is studying mechanical engineering at Mon-

tana Tech. The classes he’s most excited for are rocket propulsion and HVAC. For his senior design, William will attempt to create a high efficiency drone to scout for forest fires. After college, he would like to pursue a career in HVAC or vertical construction design.

Outside of school and work, he enjoys skiing, boating, and camping.

Emeka J. Obi, Stabile No. 957Emeka is a Nigerian majoring in electrical engineering

and minoring in computer science and math at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. He is the incoming presi-dent for NSBE and ACM chapters, and also holds other prominent roles on campus. He is working as a software developer intern at Adobe, and previously worked as a software

engineer intern at Visa. After graduation, Emeka plans to attend graduate school and work in the tech industry.

Otilingam Sivakumar, Soden 20Prem is a senior chemical engineering major at the

University of Delaware with mate-rials science & eng’g, electrical & computer eng’g, sustainable energy technology, and chemistry minors. He is a member of the UD honors college and has served as DE Alpha Chapter vice president for three se-mesters. He conducted research into

electrochemical cells and interns at Exelon Generation. Prem plans to pursue a graduate degree after gaining additional industry experience.

Anna J. Miller, Stabile No. 940Anna is studying electrical engineering at the University

of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in physics. She is interested in photonics and is involved with research on GaN multi-quantum wells. Anna has served on the IL Alpha Chapter’s executive board and will be the vice president in the coming year. She is

also an active member of IEEE-HKN. After graduating, she plans to continue her education in graduate school.

Mark Weston Miller, Scribner No. 64M. Weston is a senior engineering major at Harvey

Mudd College. He is interested in fluid mechanics and systems engi-neering. While at Mudd, Weston enjoyed sharing his passion for engineering as a TA and tutor for engineering systems. This summer, he is researching the application of graphene to water purification. He

will be CA Omega Chapter corresponding secretary this fall. Weston hopes to pursue a career designing fluid control systems.

Catherine J. Nachtigal, Stabile No. 994Catherine is a mechanical engineering student with

an aerospace concentration and computer science minor at Rutgers University. She is the team lead of RU Airborne in AIAA’s design/build/fly competition, and works in the Rutgers hybrid micro/nano-manufacturing lab studying electro-spray deposition. She also works as a

mechanical eng’g intern at Northrop Grumman, plans on pursuing a Ph.D. in aerospace eng’g, and works in R&D of aerospace propulsion systems.

Gungor Cagatay Ozseker, Stabile No. 1020Cagatay is a senior majoring in ME with a concentra-

tion in mechanical systems & design and minoring in ENMA at Old Dominion University. He will serve as VA Gamma Chapter president, is a brother of FIJI, a resident assis-tant, was the vice president of ODU rotaract club, and has worked as a research assistant at 3-D bimaterial printing lab. Cagatay plans to pursue

an MSME degree and start up his own company.

Shiker S. Nair, Bloomberg No. 15Shiker is a biomedical engineering major at Johns

Hopkins. He conducts research in precision medicine, developing computational diagnostic tools to evaluate pulmonary and cardiovas-cular diseases. He is currently lead-ing his own biomedical design team at Hopkins aiming to proactively predict symptom degradation in

intensive care unit patients by analyzing vital sign data. He hopes to obtain an MD/Ph.D. in bioinformatics and lead his own computational diagnostic research team.

Zachary A. Pinkley, Stabile No. 826Zachary is a senior in mechanical engineering at Boise

State University. He transferred to BSU from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the spring of 2020 to attain a minor in biomedical engineering. After transferring, he earned a position in the Northwest Tissue Mechanics laboratory as an undergraduate research assistant, where he helps further research into

mechatronics and soft tissue biomechanics. Zachary hopes to pursue a master’s in mechanical engineering.

Jade P. Pinkenburg, Skaggs No. 11Jade is a senior at Cornell University studying electrical

and computer engineering, and has additional interests in neuroscience and robotics. He has conducted research on high-speed soft robots, machine learning algorithms for robotic grasp planning, and implant-able artificial mechanoreceptors. At Cornell, he also builds autonomous

aircraft with CUAir, serves as a teaching assistant, and plays saxophone in the marching band. He intends on pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical or biomedical engineering.

with resources and mentors to develop into the next generation of entrepreneurs. He is looking forward to a career in tech startups that contribute to a social cause.

Audrey C. Parker, Stabile No. 968Audrey is a senior at Boise State University studying

materials science and engineering with an emphasis in chemistry and sustainability. Having been born and raised in Boise, ID, she has grown up exploring its backcountry which explains her passion for envi-ronmental sustainability! Audrey’s previous research experiences

explored plastic recycling and atomic force microscopy. Outside of academia, she enjoys skiing, backpacking, sand volleyball, and exploring historic neighborhoods.

Roberto C. Penaloza Valencia, Stabile No. 954Roberto is a senior majoring in electrical engineering

at South Dakota State University, where he serves as SD Beta Chapter treasurer. He has kept a 4.0 GPA throughout his studies, which helped secure a substation design summer internship with Ulteig, based out of Austin, TX. After graduation, Roberto aspires to work

with renewable energy, grid modernization, and energy storage to further the world’s transition towards a more sustainable future.

Harold W. Pollard III, Record No. 1744Harold is a rising senior civil engineering major and

mathematics minor at the Univer-sity of South Carolina. He serves as treasurer for the ASCE Student chapter, international project lead for EWB USC and abroad engage-ment coordinator for the Gamecock consulting club. With experience in assisting the development of intel-

majoring in mechanical engineer-ing with a minor in energy science, technology, and policy. He is taking on this minor because, after gradu-ation, he plans to enter the renew-able energy industry, preferably by working at a renewable energy power plant such as a solar farm or

Sheetal Prasanna, Stabile No. 918Sheetal is in her final year of the 5-year B.S./M.S.

program at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI, studying electrical and computer engineering. She has been involved in research on driver alert applications at the Transportation and Active Safety Institute. This summer, she is interning at Aptiv in

their advanced engineering team working on radar visu-alization. After graduation, Sheetal plans to contribute to the automotive industry and the future of driverless cars.

Aversa M. Prentosito, Stabile No. 932Aversa is a computer science major in the combined

bachelor’s/master’s program at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. At Miami, she is president of Girls Who Code and vice president of the Association for Computing Machinery for Women, and is in Cohort IX of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute. She

is currently a cyber software intern at Northrop Grumman Xetronn.

Sarah M. Raphael, Dodson No. 82Sarah is a senior majoring in chemical engineering and

German at the University of Mary-land, Baltimore County. She has conducted research on wastewater treatment and works as a German tutor at UMBC. After graduating, she plans to pursue a career in water treatment or environmental engineering and is interested in working in Germany.

Sabiha Rahman, Record No. 1714Sabiha is a senior chemical engineering major at

Stevens Institute of Technology and working towards obtaining a graduate certificate in pharma-ceutical manufacturing. Serving as NJ Alpha Chapter secretary, she is also a mentor for the Clark Scholars Program and performed research on metal halide perovskites. She is

interning at Novartis as a part of the vendor alliance & contracting team and hopes to pursue a full-time career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Corlene A. Rhoades, Stabile No. 944Corlene is a senior double major studying electrical

engineering and computer science at Tufts University. She will serve as MA Delta Chapter recording secretary and club president of Eta Kappa Nu for the 2021-22 school year. She has worked as a TA for CS courses for two years, researched photovoltaics, and interned at

She is a member of the women’s soccer team and studies civil engi-neering. Her research is focused on topology optimization, which is a design process that produces struc-tures optimized for given goals and constraints. After graduation, Gil-lian plans to attend graduate school,

pursue a master’s in civil engineering, and commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Julia A. Schlottmann, Record No. 1746Julia is a senior studying architecture and civil engi-

neering at The Catholic University of America. She has interned with Whiting-Turner Contracting, the Federal Reserve, and WLC Design. She is CUA’s Society of Women Engineers president, captain of the women’s rugby team, member of the advocacy committee for Habitat for

Humanity, and involved in other clubs on campus. She plans to continue working in the construction industry.

Denise C. Schlautman, Stabile No. 970Denise is a materials science and engineering major at the

University of Michigan minoring in biochemistry and German. Outside of school, she conducts research on the microscale printing of pharma-ceutical molecules onto biosoluble films. She also works as a tutor for math and organic chemistry. After graduation, Denise plans to pursue

a graduate degree in biomedical engineering or work in research and development at a biotech company.

Gwyneth M. Schloer, Stabile No. 1018Gwyneth is a senior at Virginia Tech pursuing bachelor’s

degrees in mechanical engineering, economics, and Spanish. After graduating, she will be attending both the Virginia Tech accelerated master of science in mechanical eng’g program and the master of science in business administration and business analytics program.

Emma S. San Martin, Stabile No. 999Emma is majoring in mechanical engineering at the

University. During the school year, Chris is president of his university’s American Society of Mechanical Engineers chapter and serves his campus community as a Lutheran leader scholar. He also completes research with Fermilab in the design of vibratory sorting systems. Upon

graduation, Chris is looking to enter the work force full-time in an engineering design role.

Nicholas Rush, Stabile No. 935Nicholas is a junior majoring in electrical and aerospace

engineering at Auburn Univer-sity. He performs research with the Auburn nanosystems group into nano-films, cryogenics, and imaging system hardware design. Through this experience, he has been awarded an undergraduate research fellowship for large scale

Chris K. Sadler, Stabile No. 985Chris is a senior at Michigan State University studying

to attend graduate school, earn a Ph.D. in chemical eng’g, and focus on energy storage technology.

Harrison S. Shapiro, Stabile No. 972Harry is a mechanical & aerospace engineering major at

Princeton University, pursuing cer-tificates in the history & practice of diplomacy and eng’g & management systems. His career goal is to bridge gaps between technical innovators and non-technical decision-makers, and he has worked in a variety of public sector and investing intern-

ships to build an interdisciplinary skillset. Harry has served as captain of the Princeton Model UN team and treasurer of Princeton rocketry.

Sommer R. Scott, Stabile No. 1010Sommer is majoring in mechanical engineering and

minoring in materials science at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. She is involved with the SD Alpha Chapter, Materials Advan-tage, and the clean snowmobile team. This summer, she is working for JLG Industries as a materials science eng’g intern. Sommer plans to attend

graduate school for materials engineering with goals to contribute to the materials development industry.

James B. Sheets, Stabile No. 1025James is from Powell, WY, but has been living primar-

ily in Laramie, WY, while attending the University of Wyoming for the past three years. He is studying mechanical engineering with a minor in computer science. This summer, James is working for J.R. Simplot in their phosphate plant in Rock Springs, WY. This has been a

great experience and he looks forward to gaining more real-world engineering experience.

Hannah M. Severns, Record No. 1716Hannah is a New Mexico State University junior pursu-

ing a B.S. in chemical engineering with minors in nuclear & chemical eng’g and chemistry. She is complet-ing undergraduate research in hemp phytoremediation. Her other work includes interning at the Johns Hop-kins Applied Physics Laboratory as

well as starting a co-op placement with Lockheed Martin. She hopes to one day work in the renewable energy and the environmental sustainability field.

of California, Santa Barbara. She has conducted research on microfluidic device design, along with projects on soft materials characterization and charged polymer phase behav-ior. She will be working at Clorox this summer as a research and development intern and will pursue

a Ph.D. in chemical engineering following graduation.

Muntasir Shahabuddin, Record No. 1712Muntasir is studying chemical engineering at Worcester

Polytechnic Institute where he plans to also graduate with his master’s. His research involves building system and plant level economic models for sustainable biofuel and metallurgical processes. His professional work has revolved around lithium-ion battery separator production and consulting.

He hopes to continue his research career studying battery energy storage systems as a Ph.D. student.

Kyle D. Sherick, Stabile No. 1022Kyle is a senior mechanical engineering student at

Seattle University. Kyle is also a four year member of Seattle University’s collegiate baseball team. After graduation, Kyle plans to attend graduate school and eventually has aspirations to pursue a career that will allow him to help establish a clean energy future.

engineering honors at the Univer-sity of Tennessee. She serves as Chi Epsilon chapter president, TN Alpha Chapter secretary, and president of the Vols en Pointe club. Upon graduation, Alex plans to complete her master’s degree in structural engineering and design bridges

across Tennessee to improve the travel experience in her home state.

through spring 2021. After graduation, Pascal hopes to attend graduate school and pursue a career in robotics.

Joseph B. Stone, Stabile No. 939Joseph is an electrical engineering student at BYU-Idaho.

His studies are focused on electronic devices such as diodes and transis-tors. After graduation, Joseph plans on working for a couple of years and then pursuing a master’s degree in either VLSI design or control systems design. He desires to get a master’s degree in one of these fields

and learn how to make devices that can have a direct impact on peoples’ lives.

Laura M. Steel, Record No. 1721Laura is a senior chemical engineering student at the

University of Tulsa. Laura has held leadership positions for TBP, SWE, OXE, and AIChE, and has worked for Stowers Institute, Kiewit, Ecolab, and university professors in the research and engineering consult-ing industries. Her background

includes water treatment and food processes, and she is interested in the design and optimization of chemical systems. Laura aims to pursue an MBA or engineering management master’s degree.

Ekram Suleiman, Stabile No. 986Ekram is a Kettering University senior mechanical engineering student. She is president

of the international club and works with high school students as a men-tor. She conducted independent research in Udaipur, India, in con-junction with CIRD. Additionally, she was a research assistant on the solar thermal minto-wheel as a component

of a Microgrid for alternative energy sources. She is a R&D intern at Nestlé and intends to pursue an MBA.

Kristen L. Steudel, Stabile No. 1009Kristen is a rising senior at Lafayette College studying

mechanical engineering, math-ematics, and economics. She has interned with Raytheon and at Los Alamos National Labs this summer. Kristen also worked on mathematics research about the optimal strategy in the game ‘Pass the Pigs’ and eco-

nomics research about groundwater irrigation policy in Ethiopia. She will be working on creating an energy storing system so that renewable energy can be used completely without natural gas supplements.

Brandan Taing, Campbell No. 52Brandan is a chemical engineering student at the Uni-

versity of California, Los Angeles. He hopes to pursue a research-based career to discover new insights in materials design and electrochemi-cal technologies. He is conducting research on sustainability in battery manufacturing and novel electrode architectures. Brandan is involved

with his school’s American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Electrochemical Society student chapters.

Hamza Tasneem, Stabile No. 955Hamza is studying electrical engineering at South Dakota

State University, where he serves as SD Beta Chapter vice president. He is also a member of Eta Kappa Nu and serves as the chapter vice presi-dent. Hamza plans to continue his education and receive his master’s degree in electrical engineering. He has a special interest in the power

sector and hopes to work as a full-time engineer at Burns & McDonnell or NASA.

Adam Tawakkol, Record No. 1740Adam studies civil engineering at the United States

Military Academy. He serves as the head manager for the wrestling team, and works alongside a team to redesign standardized lock and dam components. After graduation, Adam intends to serve as an Army engineer and attend a graduate school program that will enable him

to advance human flourishing and interconnectivity through community-based design.

Rifah Tasnim Stabile No. 998Rifah is a senior at NYU studying mechanical engi-

neering. She is interning at a startup company called Aersys as their mechatronics engineer. Rifah would like to pursue a master’s at the inter-section of business and engineering. She hopes one day to be in a leader-ship role where she can be in charge of projects and coordinate different

engineering schematics.

Logan H. Stevens, Record No. 1737Logan is a civil engineering student at the University of

New Hampshire, with an interest in construction, structural, and trans-portation engineering. Logan has completed a multitude of internships for both large and small companies, working both in the office and in the field, as well as two research experi-ences. After graduation, Logan hopes

to have a job working on large scale projects, spending time both in the office and on the job site.

Megan A. Talbert, Forge No. 118Megan is a senior at Loyola Marymount Univer-

sity studying electrical engineering with a concentration in computer engineering. She is an intern for Millennium Space Systems. Megan personally mentors high school students in Los Angeles to help them excel in their coursework and prepare for college. She is currently

serving as the CA Omicron Chapter president and hopes to pursue a career in systems engineering.

Akash N. Thaker, Stabile No. 953Akash is pursuing a B.S in electrical engineering with a

M.S in computer eng’g and a minor in computer science at Drexel Uni-versity. He worked at Comcast as a software engineering intern and cur-rently interns with JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an intelligent automation analyst. He is heavily involved with Drexel’s IEEE chapter, having served

as an officer the past two years. Upon graduation, he plans to work in embedded software development.

Reed M. Stobaugh, Stabile No. 943Reed is a junior at Western Kentucky University major-

ing in electrical engineering with minors in systems engineering and mathematics. Upon graduation, he hopes to obtain a job in either manu-facturing or contracting. Internships include LPR Automation in Bowling Green, KY, and Logan Aluminum in Russellville, KY. These internships

have provided great insight into what to expect as an electrical engineer.

Jacob P. Tardif, Stabile No. 1019 Jacob is a first-generation, full-time engineering stu-

dent at Old Dominion University who also works part time during the fall and spring, and full time during the summer. He works very hard to excel and to be the best at what he does. After graduation, Jacob plans on joining the U.S. Navy and pursuing a master’s degree in

aerospace engineering.

Basha Tropper, Record No. 1717Basha is a senior in The City College of New York study-

ing chemical engineering. She is working to validate a new separation methodology developed for Janus particles. As a B3-REU Fellow, she hopes to continue her work with Janus particles in the Janus and patchy particle lab at City College. She also hopes to continue serving

as a mentor for incoming freshman in the chemical engineering program.

William Wang, Scribner No. 59Will is from Sarasota, Florida and studies environmental

engineering at Yale University. He worked as a design editor at the student newspaper, counselor for first-year students, and an intern with CDM Smith. His research involves predicting communities’ environmental vulnerability with machine learning. After gradua-

tion, Will hopes to get a job helping cities adapt their wastewater and stormwater systems to be more resilient.

Annie S. Ulichney, Stabile No. 1028Annie is double majoring in mechanical engineering

and applied mathematics at Yale University. She serves as the CT Alpha Chapter recording secretary, representative on the intercollegiate engineering alliance, peer mentor for the mechanical eng’g depart-ment, and undergrad TA for math and statistics courses. She has re-

cently enjoyed positions as researcher in applied math at Dartmouth, and as data analyst studying incarceration.

Alek A. Wereszczak, Record No. 1723Alek is a senior studying chemical engineering at the

University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has completed internships with the CoorsTek corporation and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Alek is in the midst of completing a process engineering co-op with The Dennis Group – an EPC firm based out of Atlanta. After graduation, he

Maria G. Voss, Nagel No. 60Maria was recognized as the outstanding junior ceramic

engineering student this April at Alfred University. She served as NY Sigma Chapter vice president and will be president in the coming year. During the fall semester, she will study abroad in Italy, before return-ing to complete her thesis on cold sintering ceramics and graduate.

graduation, she intends to pursue becoming a surgeon.

Hannah M. Wisell, Stabile No. 978Hannah is an honors mechanical engineering major

with a concentration in aerospace engineering and minors in math, energy and environmental policy, and piano. After graduation, she plans on working part time as a nuclear engineer while attending graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in aerospace engineering.

Sophia G. Vaughan, Record No. 1707Sophia is studying chemical engineering at Iowa State

University. She is involved with running the engineering career fairs and has membership in the Society of Women Engineers. With view to a future in intellectual property, she holds positions in the Office of Innovation Commercialization and in the Griswold Internship program

at ISU. She spent this summer doing colloid chemistry research at LSU and is exploring options for after gradu-ation, including grad school and law school.

Jakob M. Wegmueller, Stabile No. 1000Jakob is a senior studying mechanical engineering with

a secondary major in music at Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of CWRU’s robotics team, jazz band, and the solar durabil-ity and lifetime extension center researching the degradation of solar cells. This summer, he will intern at

Echogen Power Systems, which develops heat-to-power systems. Jakob hopes to pursue a career in energy focus-ing on R&D while considering graduate school.

Ciana J. Witherell, Nagel No. 61Ciana is majoring in product design and manufactur-

ing engineering and minoring in Philosophy at Grand Valley State University. They are also a teaching assistant and engineering student ambassador as well as president of the swing dance club and the co-founder/VP of the QSTEM club. Ciana has a co-op at Gentex Corp.

as a production process engineer and hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in design engineering and teach at a university.

Carmen Wilwert, Record No. 1708Carmen is a senior majoring in chemical engineering

at Iowa State University. She is also pursuing a minor in statistics. Carmen serves as IA Alpha Chapter drawingboard chair. The Drawing-board is a program in IA Alpha to provide supplemental engineering content for students at Iowa State

and other universities. After graduation, Carmen hopes to work in a process engineering role and use her stats minor to drive process improvements.

Sean A. Wirt, Soden No. 19Sean is a chemical engineering major at the University of

Delaware, minoring in biochemistry and biochemical eng’g. He is the internal president of AIChE and is active in the UD honors college. Sean has interned with the U.S. Army medical research institute of chemi-cal defense, and he does synthetic biology research with the Kunjapur

lab at UD. Sean plans to attend graduate school for chemi-cal engineering and develop impactful biotechnology.

Grace M. Wood, Nagel No. 58Grace is a senior acoustical engineering and music stu-

dent at the University of Hartford with a minor in mathematics. She was elected CT Gamma Chap-ter secretary for the upcoming year, in addition to serving as the IEEE administrator, and she will be assisting an ongoing research investigation within her program.

Following graduation, she would like to attend graduate school and eventually obtain her Ph.D.

Michael Yakubov, Stabile No. 948Michael is a senior electrical engineering student at

Rutgers University. He has done machine learning research with FPGAs using integer arithmetic, and is a tutor at the Rutgers learn-ing center. He is a part of Rutgers’ club water polo team and aikido club, and serves as NJ Beta Chapter vice president. After graduation, he

hopes to pursue a master’s degree in computer science.

JiaMin Wu, Stabile No. 969JiaMin is studying materials science and engineering

at Boise State University. She will serve as ID Gamma Chapter presi-dent for the 2021-22 academic year. JiaMin works as an undergraduate researcher looking into how sugars can be utilized in the production of biodegradable materials. After

graduation, she plans to attend graduate school to obtain her master’s degree before entering industry to work with end life of plastics.

Joshua Yang, Momoh No. 1Josh is an electrical and computer engineering student

as the University of South Alabama. He conducts research in two top-ics, the electrical power system of SWARM-EX CubeSats and wireless power transfer for electric vehicles. After graduation, Josh plans to continue his education by work-

ing towards a master’s degree and pursuing a career in aerospace.

Savannah M. Wujastyk, Scribner No. 61Savannah is an environmental engineering major at

Syracuse University where she is a member of the honors program and serves as NY Beta Chapter president. She’s also a sister of Alpha Omega Epsilon, volunteers through engineering ambassadors, and completes research on the dry deposition of airborne chemicals

to green roofs. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in environmental engineering after graduation.

Makenna R. Yergler, Stabile No. 941Makenna is studying electrical engineering with a bio-

medical engineering specialization at Southern Illinois University. She is Illinois Epsilon Chapter recording secretary, involved with Engineers Without Borders, and the robotics club. This summer, she is working as an intern with TWR on Guam to develop a test system for radio

transmitter motor control boards. After graduating in December, she hopes to work in the medical device field.

Anna Y. Yue, Record No. 1750Anna is a senior at Georgia Tech majoring in computer

engineering and minoring in com-puter science. Following her current internship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, she aspires to pursue a career in performance/applications modeling for computer architecture to advance the future of high per-formance computing. Anna enjoys

being a TA in data structures and algorithms courses and hopes to inspire the next generation of talented students.

Yihua (Eva) Zhang, Stabile No. 1030Eva is studying operations research engineering at

Cornell University. She is involved with queuing theory research and course revamp, which she hopes to continue in the future. She is also the business/communications subteam lead of Cornell cup robot-ics, president of club waterpolo, and recruiting lead of the organization for business and engineering. Eva

is also a part of a non-profit, Piano Village Foundation, which provides more accessible music education.

Wojciech Zacherek, Stabile No. 916Wojciech is a rising senior at the Rose-Hulman Institute

of Technology studying computer engineering, minoring in robotics and computer science. Along with his involvement in the rocketry and robotics teams, he is IEEE-HKN chapter vice-president, volunteers as a tutor, and works as a TA for the ECE department. Wojciech plans to

work in embedded systems or pursue a Ph.D. research-ing computer engineering/science related technology.
