PROJECTDESCRIPTION:I.GeneralDescription:TheIceCreamSocial,hostedbytheUniversityofArizona’sCollegeofEngineeringwasaneventtohelpgreetalltheincomingengineeringstudents.ThiseventwaspartoftheEngineeringWeekofWelcomefestivitiesthattheCollegeofEngineeringholdsduringthefirstweekofschool.II.Purpose&RelationshiptoObjectivesofTBP:ByparticipatinginaWeekofWelcomeeventfortheCollegeofEngineeringweintroducedmanyincomingengineeringfreshmantoTauBetaPiasanorganizationthattheycouldjoininthefuture.IthelpedourorganizationhavemorepublicityspecificallyintheCollegeofEngineering.AlsowedonatedourtimetohelptheCollegeofEngineeringputononeofmanyeventsgearedtowardfreshmanengineeringstudents.III.Organization&Administration:(inconjunctionwithanothergroup?)CollegeofEngineeringorganizedthisevent,wesimplyhelpedset-up,scoopicecream,socializewithfreshmanengineeringstudents,andclean-up.RebeccaMyrenreachedouttoTauBetaPiforourassistance.IV.Cost&PersonnelRequirements:NocostsforTauBetaPiatthisevent.OurmembersweredonatingtheirtimetotheCollegeofEngineering.V.SpecialProblems:Ahandfulofthememberswhosigneduphadaseniordesignclassat3:30pm,sowehadlesspeopletohelpwithclean-upforthisevent,butthiswasnotasignificantproblem.
