LIVERMORE VALLEY’S PREMIER FOOD & WINE AFFAIR

July 23-26, 2015

2 July 23-26, 2015 | lVwine.org

thank you to our sPonsors

Welcome to Taste Our Terroir 2015We are delighted that you are joining us for this celebration of outstanding

wines, fine cuisine, unique experiences and, of course, our terroir.

Throughout the year, Livermore Valley growers closely monitor the development

of their grapes, from bud break in the spring to harvest in the fall. While climate

is the main factor regulating the tempo of grape growth, terrain, soil and farming

techniques also play key roles.

The interaction of these factors is complex, controlling the character and quality

of the wines. The French refer to this as gout de terroir or “taste of the land.”

Terroir expresses “a sense of place,” as local conditions of land, climate, culture

and technique create attributes specific to a region.

Throughout this four day event, wineries across our region will host cooking

demos, wine seminars, vineyard tours and other unique experiences.

Thanks to our sponsors, whose generous support of this celebration is essential

and appreciated. Thanks to the vintners and chefs, lodging partners, volunteers,

Association members, board of directors, staff, and to Heather McGrail, our

event chairperson.

We look forward to sharing Livermore Valley’s terroir with you!

Chris Chandler, Executive Director Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association
