Description Display

1 Confirm the display has multi-product unlocked. Select Operating Configuration Type. Select a vehicle.

2 Create a new implement.

3 Enter the hitch to Implement Axel Distance (use same value in spreader ECU).

4 Create or use an existing application channel. This needs to be created using the Granular Application.

5 Select Strip Till.

6 Setup a New Application Rate Controller.

7 Set the Controller Name for the spreader application.

9 Select Montag as the Make

10 - Select ‘Sprayer Job Computer’ as the Model

11 Verify the ‘Supports Rate Con-trol’ is checked

12 Set the number of application channels to match the spreader ECU.

13 Set the name of the hoppers available • Set the capacity of the hopper to match setup in Spreader ECU• Select units. Spreader ECU uses Cubic Feet

14 Set the number of boom sections to match the spreader ECU section control.

16 Select the type of fertilizer product. The spreader ECU will be applying.

17 Set the product Units to pounds.

18 Select the Operating Configura-tion for the spreader application.

19 Select the product intended for the spreader application.

1.2 Integra TroubleshootingIf the Operating Configuration has a configuration mismatch, check the following: • Verify the number of sections are setup to match the ISOBUS ECU. • Verify the application channels are setup to match the ISOBUS ECU. • Verify the product application Units are setup to match what the ISOBUS ECU is sending (spreader ECU sends the rate over in lbs/ac). • Verify the correct Operating Configuration is selected for the implement that is hooked up.

Description Display1 When the implement is con-

nected, this screen will appear indicating that the ECU has been recognized. The ECU should be set-up in the Vir-tual Terminal and the system should be restarted.

2 To begin the setup, select the GS3 tab and check the Section Control box and Documentation. Press accept.

3 Fill in all of the drop boxes on page 1/6 to select your task.

4 Select the tractor settings on page 2/6.

5 The implement should pre-populate page 3/6 with all information from the ECU.

6 Check the Section Control Master and the corresponding Operation Boxes on page 4/6.

7 Select the Operation and Product Application Type on 5/6 for record keeping. The rate from the ECU should be grayed out in the target rate box.

8 Select Rx and highlight a pre-scription from the drop list. Press accept.

9 Screen 6/6 is simply for mapping and selecting the boundary.

2.2 John Deere GS3 TroubleshootingClearing the Object PoolIf switching implement configurations (dimensions, sections, application lay-ers) or the same ECU type on different machines, it is necessary to clear the internal memory in the display. To do this, perform the following steps. This will not remove any settings from the implement and no values, calibrations or user preferences will be lost.

After this is completed cycle power on the display. Make sure all changes are done before turning off the display.

Documentation Boxes Grayed OutIf documentation boxes are grayed out, do the following: 1. Insert USB stick and export the data. 2. Clear the object pool following the steps above. 3. Verify that the implement is not in work. (make sure the master switch is off)

4. Create new Client, Farm, Field, Task in the GS3 page 1/6. 5. Create a new product and verify that the units (lbs/ac, gal/ac, tons/ ac….) in the GS3 page 5/6 match your controlling units. 6. If using prescriptions, verify that they are in the proper GS3 format. Insert USB and import the information. Go through the entire GS3 setup to select your prescription.

Task Controller:• Display > Diagnostics > Multiple Displays > Change Settings verify

Greenstar, Task Controller, and Auto implement detection, ISOBUS Certi-fication and Implement Bus are all selected.

• Verify Task Controller VT number set to 1.

• Multiple Displays screen will show current status of all settings above

• Display software information can be found in Display > Diagnostics > About.

Section Control:• Verify section control unlock GS3 > GS3 > Activation Section Control.

• Verify unlock is not temporary and is listed as active.

• Verify section control is selected in GS3 setup.

• Verify Implement Setup is correct including sections and widths.

• Verify Implement model is ME USA Seeder.

• Verify Section Control is checked for Master and for each operation.

• Verify GPS is working properly and the display has a DGPS signal.

3 Task Controller Setup for the Mueller Touch 800 & Touch 1200

Description Display1 In the ISOBUS-TC screen

press Settings. Press the USB icon to create the Taskdata folder.

2 Press the Plus icon to create a new task.Customer, Farm, Field, and task name may then be cre-ated. A task already created may be selected from the list in this screen.

3 Press the back arrow and se-lect yes to save the new task.

4 Press the Play icon to begin the new task.Select the Target Rates.

6 The available control layers will appear and can be select-ed along with units, volume, and associated products.

7 Verify the layers and rates.Press the back Arrow and a pop-up will appear. Select Yes to save.

Description Display1 In the performance screens,

select the Task Controller Tab and fill out or select the grower, farm, field, task, and operator. Do not press Start at this time.

3 Identify the TC Map layers and any associated prescriptions. Once all these have been set up go back to the TC Task tab and press Start.

4 Now that the Task has been started, TaskController will take over implementSettings, work condition, prescriptions, and the Grower, farm, field profile.

4.2 Pro700 & IntelliView IV Troubleshooting (v. 26-28)If switching implement configurations (dimensions, sections, application lay-ers) or the same ECU type on different machines, it is necessary to clear the internal memory in the display. To do this, perform the following steps

Deleting the object pool:

1. In the Main menu, select Diagnostics

2. Select the VT tab

3. Select the NVM tab

4. Here, multiple object pools are saved and stored. You can select which one to delete by pressing Next Folder

5. Select delete folder at the top right to delete the selected object pool or the delete icon in the middle right to delete all. This will not remove any settings from the implement and no values, calibrations or user preferences will be lost.

• If the display does not map, verify the TC steps above are completed and that all the boxes that should be grayed out are.

• Verify map legends, prescriptions style, data style, data type, and zoom are set correctly

• Make sure that prescriptions and management files are in ISOXML format (a single Taskdata folder containing at least a Taskdata xml file) on the USB stick. A USB must be in the display for TC to function. You may also have a .cn1 folder in addition to the Taskdata folder. A blank USB may be used and the display will auto create the Taskdata folder.

• It is recommended to include Product Names associated with Tasks and Prescriptions as there are no parameters in the Pro700 to identify this.

• Overlap and Boundary control will each trigger the section control icon in the VT.

NOTE: The OEM software versions displayed in this document may not be the most current. Please confirm that you have the latest display and ECU firmware.

5 Task Controller Setup for the Case IH Pro700 & NH IntelliView IV (v.30)5.1 Pro700 & IntelliView IV Operating Configuration Setup

Description Display1 The first step is to verify that

the display has the neces-sary components for Task Controller to function. Go to Diagnostics > Version. Confirm that VT and Task Con-troller are listed. If VT and/or Task Controller are not listed, please contact your dealer.

2 From the main screen, navi-gate to Toolbox > VT > Setup. On the Setup tab, confirm the following settings:• VT Enabled = Yes• VT Compatibilty = Version 3• VT Number = 1• Send ISO Speed? = GPS

3 Toolbox > Activate: Ensure that the Task Controller is activated. A trial activation is available to test functionality before purchase. If Task Controller is not active, please contact your dealer. After a successful activation, the dis-play must be rebooted before Task Controller configuration can be performed.

4 Toolbox > TC: Set the Task Controller to “Installed” (requires reboot). Ensure that the TC Operation Mode is “Advanced” (requires reboot). Select the Tractor Type and Front/Rear Hitch Offsets. Hitch offsets are measured from the hitch point to the centerline of the fixed axle.

5 Performance > Profile: Note that some data management items are grayed out. When using the Task Controller, all data management is initiated in the Task Controller. The Pro le screen is not used.

6 ISOBUS > TC Main: Create or select the TC Grower, TC Farm, TC Field, and TC Task to be used. TC management items may be exported from a compatible desktop software program in ISOXML, or creat-ed in the display.Do not press the Start button until all Task Controller con-figuration is complete and you are ready to begin operation.

7 ISOBUS > TC Main: Use the buttons on the right side of the screen to configure and monitor the Task Controller. Confirm the TC Imple = ME USA Seeder. Press the “Done” button to return to the TC Main screen from any configuration/ moni-toring screen.

8 TC Main > TC Map: Verify that the correct control points are assigned to the map. Select prescriptions for each control point if desired.Confirm for the following: • TC Map Layer 1 = Boom 1 • TC Map Layer 2 = Boom 2 (only on 2 hopper machine)

To load a prescription, press the TC Prescription field and select the prescription file.

9 Notes About Prescriptions:• Prescription files must be

exported from an FMIS as an ISOBUS compatible file.

• For multi-bin machines, prescriptions must be saved as Type 2.

• On the USB stick, all TC info will be saved in the Taskdata folder.

10 TC Main > TC Crop: Create or select the TC Crop to be used. Click the “Add New Variety” button to create a new variety/ hybrid. Select the desired Tracking Level:• Implement: tracks one hybrid

across the entire implement.• Boom: tracks one hybrid per

driven section as de ned by the implement ECU.

• Section: tracks one hybrid per section, as defined by the implement ECU for section control.

11 TC Main > TC Totals: Displays raw “totals” values received from the implement ECU. Each value may be a lifetime total or a TC Task total, whichever is reported by the implement ECU. Units of measure are provided by the ECU.

12 TC Main > TC Sum: Provides a complete summary of the current active Task Controller configuration.

13 When the implement and Task Controller have been fully configured and you are ready to begin field work, press the Start button in ISOBUS > TC Main or on a Run screen that contains a Task Controller control window.

5.2 Pro700 & IntelliView IV Troubleshooting (v. 30)If switching implement configurations (dimensions, sections, application lay-ers) or the same ECU type on different machines, it is necessary to clear the internal memory in the display. To do this, perform the following steps

Section Control Checklist:• Verify in Toolbox >TC.• Verify a USB stick is in the display.• Verify in ISOBUS > TC Main that a task is started and ME USA Seeder is

the implement.• Verify GPS status is set to DGPS.• Verify Toolbox > Overlap options for either boundary or overlap control

are selected. • Add Overlap Control and Boundary Control to the Run Screen and verify

they are selected. • Verify boundaries are on the USB stick and were exported to the .cn1 file.• Verify the machine goes into work (green arrow in upper left of display).• Verify the machine is mapping.

Prescriptions Checklist:• Verify in Toolbox >TC.• Verify a USB stick is in the display.• Verify in ISOBUS > TC Main that a task is started and ME USA Seeder is

the implement.• Verify GPS status is set to DGPS.• Verify Prescriptions are on the USB stick and were exported to the .xml

file format.• If the machine has multiple bins, prescriptions must be Type 2.• Verify the machine goes into work (green arrow in upper left of display).• Verify in the VT screen that Prescription Target Rate is selected.• Verify Overlap Control is not preventing application.

As-Applied and Products:• As-Applied maps are available in both .xml and .cn1 formats.• Products must be set up in ISOBUS > TC Main > TC Products. - Here products must be added or selected. - Tracking Level should be set to Boom. - Products should be selected for each Boom. - Product setup in the VT will be part of the the layer name.

Machine will not apply: • Verify speed in VT (check speed selection in VT and setup in display).• Verify the correct prescription and boundary (if using) are selected.• Verify prescription is not sending a zero rate.• Check section status.• Check Section Control status in Toolbox > Overlap and on Run Screen.• Restart with a clean (no files) USB stick (CAUTION: Formatting the USB

still will remove tasks and associated information, be sure to save all data before deleting).

Units:• Verify VT units are set correctly in Toolbox >VT >Pref • Verify display units are set correctly in Toolbox > Oper

Other:• If the display does not map, verify the TC steps above are completed and

that all the boxes that should be grayed out are.• Verify map legends, prescriptions style, data style, data type, and zoom

are set correctly• Make sure that prescriptions and management files are in ISOXML for-
