Task 5

Idea 1 – Bear

Rupert was a gift to a young girl when she was born, and she used to take him everywhere. But as

the girl got older Rupert also got older and became more fragile, and became damaged. So the girls’

parents decided on buying the girl a new bear, to replace the old damaged one. When the new bear

arrived Rupert was just left in the old toy box, in the corner of the girls’ room and was never played

with again. Whilst the girl was playing with her new bear and her other toys, Rupert had to sit there

and watch them, he could tell that all of the other toys preferred the new bear over him. So Rupert

planned his revenge on the new bear and the rest of the toys to take back his place!

(First Impression of Rupert)

Rupert is going to be a traditional brown teddy bear, with one marble eye and the other replaced

with a button. Rupert’s body will be large as it was meant to be loved and hugged by its owner.

There is a heart stitched into his right hand showing that the bear loves its owner and also has a

chunk missing on his ear as the girl used to chew on it for company at night.

Spending endless nights by himself in the old toy box, Rupert started becoming obsessed, insane and

full of anger. From all the time he was alone, he was able to think and he thought of a revenge plan

to reclaim the girl. Rupert becomes a knife wielding maniac, seeking revenge!

Rupert will acquire a large carving knife to take revenge on the new bear, as he plans on killing the

new bear and all the other toys. Rupert is able to kill them; with the carving knife, biting heads off

and pulling arms and legs off.

Rupert starts to befriend an old discarded Bunny called Flopsy, as they both seek to be loved again.

Flopsy is a wise old bunny which helps Rupert plan his revenge on the new bear and gives Rupert the

best advice on doing so.

Rupert is a take on the traditional brown teddy bear, which has been owned by millions of people

worldwide.
