Literature review

Dyslexia:• In an attempt to delineate causal factors in dyslexia, 113

children and young adults (age-range eight to 18 years) were divided into three groups:

• those with brain damage who could read (n = 31),• those with brain damage who were dyslexic (n = 53), • and those without brain damage who were dyslexic (n =

29).• It examines the research which has found that dyslexic

children have problems not just with their reading but in a range of skills including several (such as balance) unrelated to reading.

Education system• Traditional education and training largely focuses on

enhancing competence (knowledge, skills, and attitudes)

• In today's complex world, we must educate not merely for competence, but for capability (the ability to adapt to change, generate new knowledge, and continuously improve performance)

• Capability is enhanced through feedback on performance.
