PREFACE

This Report is a summary of the work done as a summer trainee inReliance Money Limited.

The project report begins with the detailed introduction of the studyin which basis of comparison has been discussed. Then detailedintroduction of Dematerialization has been given. Then informationregarding Reliance Money private Limited has been given. The basicschemes and services offered by the R-Money to its customers havebeen included in the project report.

This project report contains the information about other onlinebrokers (ICICI direct, India bulls, Religare ,Kotak securities ,ShareKhan, India Info line)also like what is their brokerage rate,information regarding their branch network etc. From thesecompanys description it is clear what these brokers provide andwhat is their brokerage then primary data has been collected hasbeen filled up by the people. The main focus of the questions is onthe comparative analysis of the different online brokers.This comparison has been made on the basis of the different thingslike services, brokerage, product & branch network, tie up withbanks etc.

Then recommendations and conclusion have been made on the basisof primary data, which has also been in detail in the project report.

The research methodology contains the following description:

The design for the research is explained as follows:

1. RESEARCH DESIGN

The approach selected for this research work is Descriptive Research

This research process involves various variables viz.

a.) Reliance and Various other online brokers

Functioning, growth profile, services offered, comparison.

b.)DEMAT account holders

Requirements, views, satisfaction

Since this is a study of the existing characteristics of the above mentioned variables

the descriptive research fits perfectly to these sets of requirements.

2. SAMPLING DESIGN

a.) AREA OS SURVEY

Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali

b.) SAMPLING TECHNIQUE

i) The sampling technique used in this research project is Cluster Sampling

ii) In cluster sampling population is divided in to the groups of elements with

some groups randomly selected for study. Cluster sampling differs from

sampling in several ways.

c.) SAMPLE SIZE

The sample size consisted of 100 people of Chandigarh only, both male and female

having the Demat a/c irrespective of their income level.

The survey has been conducted with the help of questionnaires filled by various

DEMAT account holders.

4.DATA COLLECTION

The data to be collected was categorized into three kinds viz.

i) PRIMARY DATA

My source of primary data is questionnaire and observation. I collected data from the

people having DEMAT account. For this I went to offices of different online brokers

and collected data from people visiting there .

iii) SECONDARY DATA

Secondary data was collected through desk research. Various newspapers were

consulted and magazines, Internet sites were searched to get information regarding

various online brokers, their functioning services offered etc.

5. STATISTICAL TOOLS

The statistical tools used in this research project include:

i) Pie-Charts

ii) Column charts

iii) Bar charts

iv) Percentage

CONCLUSION

Research Objective 1: TO HAVE A GENERAL INTRODUCTION ABOUT

ONLINE TRADING.

Online trading have made trading easier and comfortable.Now people can trade online

easily and records of each transaction can be easily maintained. Online trading can be

done only through a registered SEBI broker. SEBI has made it compulsory for all the

persons to have a DEMAT account. Nowadays a lot of online brokers have emerged

with the spam of time and they are providing different services.

Research Objective 2: TO STUDY THE COMPANY PROFILE OF RELIANCE

MONEY.

Sh.Dhirubhai Ambani created this brand and name of trust. Reliance Money is a group

company of Reliance Capital ; one of indias leading and fastest growing private

sector financial services companies , rankling among the top 3 private sector financial

services and banking companies, in terms of net worth.

Reliance capital is a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.

Reliance Money is the most cost-effective, convenient and secure way to transact in a

wide range of financial products and services.The fee charged by the affiliates of

Reliance Money, through whom the transactions can be placed , is among the lowest

charged in the present scenario.pay the flat fee of just rs.500 valid for 2 months or

specified transactional value.

Research Objective 3: To STUDY THE OTHER ONLINE TRADERS LIKE

ICICIDIRECT,SHAREKHAN,INDIABULLS,INDIAINFOLINE.

There are various other online trading companies such as

ICICIDIRECT,INDIABULLS,SHAREKHAN etc.

ICICIDIRECT is indias leading share trading website with more than 1lakh

customers.ICICIDIRECT places you in charge of your investments, with its unique

3-in-1 account.

IndiaBulls in Indias leading financial services and real estate company having over

640 branches all over India.IndiaBulls serves the financial of more than 4,50,000

customers.IndiaBulls is secondlargest broking company.

Sharekhan is a retail arm of SSKI with over 510 share shops in 170 cities.Share Khan

provides personalized advice, live market information, depository schemes and

commodities trading.

Research Objective 4: PEOPLE PERCEPTION ABOUT RELIANCE MONEY

Reliance money being a new player is third most popular online broker. Out of 100

people 50 are satisfied with reliance money. Brokerage fee is minimum in case of

reliance money. However Reliance Money is also extending its branch network, so

satisfaction level with the branch network of reliance money is increasing.

Research Objective 5: To compare Reliance Money with different online brokers.

Reliance Money is third most popular online broker follwed by ICICIDIRECT at first

position and IndiaBulls at second. Reliance Money has the least brokerage fee. In

case of website trading Highest satisfaction level is found with ICICIDIRECT

Reliance Money is lagging behind in this area because of being a new player in the

market.In case of branch network persons dealing with ICICIDIRECT and IndiaBulls

are most satisfied than reliance money.

Research Objective 5: TO COMEOUT WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND

SUGGESTIONS.

Customer service is comparatively weak in case of reliance money so that needs to beworked upon.Being a new player its branch network is also quiet weak, so branch

network needs to be strengthened. Reliance Money has to constantlt come up with

new schemes to maintain its foothold in the market.

The main objective of the study is to compare the different online brokers on the basis
