• HSP90-mediated stabilization crucial for KIT
expression and activation in GIST
• 17-AAG has strong antiproliferative and
proapoptotic effects in IM-resistant GISTs at
clinically achievable doses
• HSP90 targeting inhibits KIT oncoproteins with
IM resistance mutations
