Asparagus MX, Peru Markets are easier. New fields are expected to start mid to

late March. A market spike is expected around the Easter

holiday.

Broccoli CA, FL, GT Markets have improved as supplies have increased. Quality

is good.

Cabbage FL Supplies are good with increasing demand. Quality is good.

Carrots MX Market conditions are stable.

Cauliflower AZ, FL. Markets have improved as supplies have increased. Quality

is good.

Celery FL, CA Condition and quality are good and markets are softer.

Corn FL Florida corn is harvesting with good quality reported.

Cucumbers HD, MX Cucumber supplies from Honduras are extremely limited,

and markets are expected to remain high until the Florida

spring crop starts. Demand exceeds supplies.

Eggplant FL, MX Eggplant markets are strong and quality is fair to good with

supplies lighter.

Green Beans FL Few beans are available due to rain and cold weather.

Expect prorates for the next few weeks.

Herbs CA, FL, SA Markets are steady. Good supplies.

Lettuce Iceberg AZ Iceberg markets are active as sizing is still running small.

Quality issues such as insect activity, epidermal peel and

blistering are noted.

Lettuce Fresh-

Cut

AZ, MX All lettuces are showing fair quality with stronger demand

as a result of smaller sizing. Processors are looking for

increased amounts of product limiting the market supply.

Lettuce Leaf,

Green & Red

AZ Butter and Green Leaf lettuces will be your better bet over

Iceberg and Romaine.

Lettuce Romaine AZ Romaine markets have strengthened as well, as quality

industry wide has been affected.

Lettuce SpringMix

AZ Spring mix quality has stabilized. Supplies are good withgood quality being reported.

Mushrooms CA, PA, CH Stable supplies of most mushrooms with good quality.

Onions OR, TX Sheds are beginning to finish up in the northwest area,

putting pressure on markets.

Onions Green MX, CA Markets are down with increasing volumes.

Peas Snow GT Markets are stronger with good quality.

Peppers Chiles FL Quality and volumes are steady with good quality.

Peppers Green FL, MX Green Peppers are steady with good quality and suppliesfrom both Florida and Mexico.

MX Red and Yellow Peppers are seeing lighter supplies.

Potatoes Russet ID Markets are steady and quality is good.

White & Yukon

CN, US New crop Florida Red Potatoes have started. Whites and

Yukon are steady.

Potatoes Yams MS, LA Supplies are good with great quality.

Spinach AZ Supplies and quality have improved over the last week.

Markets have stabilized with improved quality.

Squash Yellow/Zucchini

FL, MX ALERT: Yellow Squash markets are short with little to noavailability. Expect this to remain for the next two weeks.

Zucchini markets from Florida and Mexico are strong as

cooler weather affected supplies. We are still a few weeks

away from Plant City, Florida production and recent rain

may have impacted the area.

Tomatoes FL, MX Markets will remain active for the next few weeks. Volume

has continued to decrease in both the Florida and Mexico

growing regions. The current market conditions will affect

most types of tomatoes including rounds, romas, grapes and

cherries.

Apples WA, NY The Apple season continues with lower than average

supplies especially on smaller fruit.

Avocado, Hass MX, CA Markets have bumped up as sizing is a struggle and Mexico

has backed off of supplies. California quality is excellent and

supplies are increasing.

Rica

The supply has stabilized in the various growing regions.

Color is improving as the season progresses. Quality is good.

Blackberries

MX Cold weather is inhibiting supplies from Guatemala and

Mexico. Quality is good.

Chile Expect shortages from Chile as volume decreases. Florida

harvest will start in a few weeks, and this is expected to help

with supplies. Quality is good.

Raspberries MX, CA Weather issues are impacting volumes from California and

Mexico. Quality is good.

FL, CA Markets are temporarily stable as Floridas cooler weather

affects supplies. A decline in California and Mexico harvests

are keeping markets tight.

Citrus - Grapefruit FL, TX Quality is good. Supplies are better on larger sizes.Citrus Lemons CA Both quality and availability are good and demand is strong

with larger sized and fancy fruit markets slightly up.

Citrus Limes MX Less volume crossing is causing markets to rise. The new

crop is expected in about 10 days and this will help with

smaller sizes. Larger sized markets remain high.

Citrus Oranges CA , Fl. Quality and availability are both excellent, especially on

smaller sizes. Demand is strong and larger sizes are tighter.

Fancy fruit is a little tight.

Grapes Chile Green Grape markets have relaxed. Red markets are slightly

higher as some Crimsons are available and markets on

Flames are low as their quality reflects.

Kiwifruit IT Quality and volume are fine.

Melon

Cantaloupe &

Honeydew

GT, HN Markets are very firm as white fly problems affect both

markets. Larger sized predominate with Honeydew. The

reverse is true with canataloupes.

Watermelon

HD Supplies are tight as product arrives from Honduras and

Mexico. Mexico is 40% lighter in volume than previous

years. Quality has improved on seeded and seedless.

Pears WA Bosc, Anjou and Bartlett varieties are coming from

Washington. Markets are stable with quality fruit.

Pineapple Costa Rica Supplies are consistent with good quality. Brix has beenaveraging 13% with average internal gold color.
