WEEK 3 TERM 4 1st November, 2018
Dear Families & Friends,
Next Assembly - TOMORROW, Friday, 2nd November, 2018 - 2:30 pm everyone welcome. Good luck to our State Relay Team - Tom, Callum, Lucinda & Hannah on Thursday, 1st November. Thank you to all who came to the P & C Meeting. The P & C are buying sunglasses for our student’s eye health. The P & C are asking for families to bake a cake or slice to help with catering at the Team Penning on Saturday, 3rd or Sunday, 4th November (this weekend). Please leave your baking at school on Friday or take them to the Showground over the weekend. If you could give an hour or two to help at the BBQ too, the P & C would appreciate it. Our generous P & C support all students at school by helping to pay for experiences such as ukulele, tennis and swimming. So please bake a cake or slice and return the favour. Thank you. The students have enjoyed all their activities - thanks to Taralga Windfarm, Life Education and Musica Viva. Thanks to Ms Grahame and Mrs Twigg for facilitating these great experiences for our students. The Small Schools Sports Carnival is on Friday, 9th November. This event is run by the parents of Taralga Public School, so “all hands on deck” are required. It is a fantastic day and we appreciate your time in making this a successful event. Looking forward to seeing your there. Kind Regards, Liza Duncan Principal

3-4-5-6 CURROBUNG CLASSROOM We have had an exciting week this week. The students enjoyed the Life Education Van where we learned all about Cyber Safety and how you should not give your password to anyone or share personal information. The Year 6 students said goodbye to “Harold” for the last time. Musica Viva was a wonderful show. The students heard some beautiful contemporary Australian compositions about a lorikeet, a cicada, ants and a Poinciana Tree. They all joined in at various times to create some beautiful music. Today we celebrated Music Count Us In with 600,000 other Australian school students. The song is called “One Song” and it celebrates the wonder of music.
