Figueroa Mountain Job Title: Taproom Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Retail Director JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: The Taproom Manager is responsible for the success and profitability of the taproom. He or she achieves this through recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching and managing a customer service oriented staff. The Manager drives revenue through special promotions and events within the taproom, sets standards for service, cleanliness, sales and safety. Open and/or close the taproom, prepare for service and/or special events (i.e. Bands, large parties, etc.) Interact with, direct, and supervise employees in a fair and dignified manner. Responsible to recruit, interview, hire, train, develop, and retain qualified employees. Promote teamwork with a happy and cheerful work environment. Address complaints/issues from customers in a professional and prompt manner Authorize comps and voids for all service personnel. Oversee the overall cleanliness of both the taproom and restrooms. Organize and conduct periodic informational seminars for employees. Have thorough understanding of and practice Figueroa Mountain Employee Handbook, employee benefits, and company philosophies. Identify, address, and document individual employee performance problems according to standard operating procedure. Discipline and/or terminate as necessary according to Figueroa Mountain procedures. Handling daily banking needs. Responsible for ordering all beer and merchandise for taproom Responsible for printing time cards, approving hours worked and sending to HR for pay. Create and post on our social media handles to promote Special Events in our taproom. Respond to social media comments about service in our taproom (i.e. Yelp, Facebook, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibility The Taproom Manager has full management responsibility for all tap room staff including annual reviews.

Work Environment The Taproom Manager works in the taproom with customers and staff. Sound levels can vary, doors maybe kept open and occasional live amplified music inside the taproom will occur.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time. He or she is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may need to lift and/or move cases of beer up to 25 pounds and 50 pound kegs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Some flexibility in hours is allowed, however the Taproom Manager is expected to be in the taproom during taproom hours of operation, especially during the busy hours. Typical shifts will be 8+ hours in length, a mix of day time and evening/night time shifts as well as some holiday and special event days will be expected.

Travel This position rarely requires travel. There may be limited travel to other taprooms, banks and outside events and festivals.

Experience/ Education

• High school graduate • 2-3 years working customer facing role in a restaurant or bar • 1-2 years in a leadership role

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have reliable transportation

• Must be able to work independently without day to day hands on supervision, highly motivated self- starter who is organized, detail oriented with excellent time management skills
