  6. 6. Master Thesis ITM year 2015 place Madrid,Spain. The project is located in a transition zone, the idea is to revitalize and redu- ce the border between the residential area and green university area with its surrounding nature. Not only crossing is interrupted, but also the views. The plot is a unique place with exceptional views of the west of Madrid. By creating places for social interaction and as a. relief of urban life, society is given the opportunity to participate in the maintenance and care of nature. We create a platform and the public building is semi-buried, thus di- minishing its visual impact on the surroundings. The university buil- ding is a balcony and the residential tower emerges from the ground, and is pierced by double-height spaces concatenated in section.
  7. 7. IPAR year 2012-13 place Madrid,Spain. The Ipar is a high performance Politechnic institute, an academic building opened 24/7, where people live and study. This educational concept tries to create a new talented community. The building has to be able to grow and change to respond to future necessities. Light and modular materials and structure make it possible.
  8. 8. Iberian Space year 2012 place Madrid,Spain. This project tries to put together both american and iberian nations. Diferent pavilions and connections to the existent public transport, make possible to design a place where every nation is present and connected to the others. Every part of the project has an specic use, and has been design for it, as a computer motherbase is done. All the parts of the buildings are done with prefabricated concrete pieces to be able to accelerate the construction and reduce the cost.
  9. 9. Light Topography year 2008 place El Escorial, Madrid,Spain. Once understood the topographic conditions and the importance of landsca- pe it was decided to make an alternative way to go all over the forest during the night, far away from turists and in conection with the nature. The walk becomes much more interesting than the destination. The minimal alteration of the place was the most important thing to solve. As a result, reective belts were placed around the trees, marking the existant to- pography and only visible with a lantern light for an ephemeral moment. This minimal design is almost invisible and totally reversible.
  10. 10. La Movida Nmada year 2014 place Medialab Prado, Madrid,Spain. author Jesus Agrega + mambo team The urban and spatial design of the Movida is an itinerant and nomadic space. In consequence, the structure must be easy to move and build (2 people). The architectural and spatial structure must be exible and variable enough as to be adapted to the projects evolution and to very dierent and poten- tially irregular areas and topography. The costs of design, construction, deployment and removal of the Movida must be scanty and optimized. It proposes exemplary solutions in terms of energy, environmental, structu- ral, constructive eciency and of production. The urban and architectural design is artistic, spectacular and extraordinary, to provoke both urban and social unlikely situation.
  11. 11. #RegalosSuburbanos II year 2015 place Madrid,Spain. Artistic Competition organized by LAGaleriaDeMagdalena, a cultural platform that takes place in the public space , especially in buildings under construc- tion, generating social, urban and cultural positive impact The aim of this temporary exhibition is to oer gifts to the underground users as a way of make art accesible to everyone. My intervention was 100 pictures taken and edited with a Smartphone. Mixing Madrid to other cities to create an unreal , non-existent and therefore ima- ginary Madrid. A journey that connects Madrid to other cities, merging and creating something new. Sometimes the references are more obvious than others, but Madrid is always there.
  12. 12. The School Grows Up year april 2015 place Madrid,Spain. During the past months the ESD university has been undertaken the construction of two buildings which will provide the additional space the school needs. These works are coordinated by Santiago Cirugeda , architect creator of Recetasurbanas study, specialized in the develo- pment of participatory strategies involving users in making decisions that aect the design process. I participated only in the foundation phase, but working with our hands was really teaching.

  19. 19. Access and Common Zones Project Role Description Creating designs and detailed drawings. Liaising with construction professionals and future users. Choosing and buying materials and furniture Adapting plans and resolving problems during construction Year Location Size Use Budget 2015 Bilbao, Spain. 95Sqm Residential 40.000 This project was done to satisfy the needs for access by the disabled and aged people. The rst thing to do was to get the existent lift down to the ground level. Then we completely refurbished the entrance area and the staircase area by re plas- tering and re tiling the walls, installation of a new insulating ceiling, resistant and non slip ooring, lighting and electricity. We also put a vinyl on the main wall to complete the look and make the entrance atractive. Extensive additions were made to the electrics such as hidden LED strip lighting under the mailboxes and marking the stair steps. We also refurbished the staircase area including new non slip ooring, re plastering and painting the walls, lighting and electricity. To nish we changed the entrance door and part of the faade to give the building hole new look.
  20. 20. Bar Refurbishment Role Description Creating designs and detailed drawings. Liaising with construction professionals and meeting clients. Choosing materials and furniture. Get permission and license, writing and presenting reports. Year Location Size Use Budget 2015 Bilbao, Spain. 45Sqm Commercial 50.000 This bar is built to stand the test of time, combining quality, style and functionality. We gave the existing venue a smart uplift (such as counter) to save money for the new things to do. We completely refurbished the bar area including new backtting, re plastering re tiling the walls, installation of a new insulating ceiling, resistant and non slip ooring, covering the counter with a metal sheet, heating and cooling, plumbing, lighting and electrical systems. We also supplied the bar area with new tables, a bespoke leather sofa made by a local woodworker, chairs and stools to complete the look. Extensive additions were made to the electrics such as hidden LED strip lighting under the sofa, shelves and the counter. We also made two toilets, as it is required by local regulations. The refurbishment work included new toilets, sinks, new non slip ooring, re tiling, re decoration, plum- bing, lighting and electricity. To nish we painted the entrance wood windows and door in white to give the bara hole new look to attract customers.
  21. 21. Flat Refurbishment Role Description Creating designs and detailed drawings. Liaising with construction professionals and client. Choosing and buying materials Adapting plans and resolving problems during construction Year Location Size Use Budget 2015 Bilbao, Spain. 80Sqm Residential 30.000 This project consisted in carrying out extensive refurbishment work throughout in- cluding kitchen, corridor, bedrooms, living room, oce space and transforming one bathroom into two. Adding a second bethroom greatly adds to the value of the at. Bathrooms and kitchens are often the main selling points of houses and ats. The lacquered white kitchen is partially done by bespoke elements. The units are push open and soft close with pull out drawers inside the units. There is also a hiden extractor installed above the kitchen. New oors and false ceiling were tted. We chose grey wood parquet for the living places, and 3 dierent kinds of tiles in the bathrooms and the kitchen. We choose to make two dierent bathrooms, the rst one inspired by a Finnish sau- na, and the second one in classic black and white. We installed a gas boiler and changed the electrical radiators for new water ones. A cheaper and more ecient alternative. The at was painted throughout and extensive changes were made to the electricity and plumbing.
  22. 22. ITE Kampion 11 Role Description Site visit. Taking pictures and document vulnerabilities. Liaising with users. Writing and presenting the report to the council. Year Location Age Use Material 2015 Bilbao, Spain. 2/3 XX cen Residential Concrete Technical Inspection of Buildings (ITE). It is a legal preventive maintenance of a num- ber of elements in a building since 2011 in Spanish cities. It controls aspects as foundation and structure, facades and walls, watertight and air- tight, sealing and roofs, facilities and other elements. Everything that aects safety, health or public maintenance of the building and the people who inhabit it. In an ITE we nd dierent building pathologies, we study the defects and performance in order to develop appropriate remedial and management solutions. The majority of problems are associated with lack of maintenance, chronic neglect and building defects leading to water ingress, condensation and dampness. Pathologies: 1_Penetrating damp/rising damp in basement walls and under the roof. 2_Cracks in cantilevered canopies, balconies and window ledges. Some steel bars already corroded. 3_ some reinforcing steel bars not properly covered by concrete, bad execution work. 4_Inadequate sealing in drainpipe connec- tions. Risks and solution: 1_water penetrating, corrosion could occur, it also aects habitability. 2_water penetrating, corrosion will occur in the main steel bars as they are exposed to wea- thering. Urgent, pieces could fall down to the street. 3_ could cause Concrete deterioration by corro- sion needs reparation by covering. 4_ seal and change some connections, could pe- netrate in building, aect habitability.
