power. And to use this to create the conditions you need and want in your life.

Nobody needs to be a victim of their own ignorance, misfortune or seeming

lack of wealth“

„In this seminar, i will share my own experiences in the fashion industry where i´ve applied this approach to

empower myself ( being a self taught designer), build my self esteem, deal with my doubts about my skills,

create innovative products, get help from people in the business and get my brand out on the international

the market.“

17.09 / 12.00 - 13.00Lectra is the world leader in integrated technology solutions that automate, streamline and

accelerateproduct design, development and manufacturing processes for industries using soft materials.

Lectra Seminar in cooperation with Embassy of FashionAfter some brainstorming sessions between the designers of the Embassy of Fashion and our solution

specialist, Piret Paal, they came up with some very interesting ideas to work with. At one hand they

really wanted to take into account the real needs and challenges young designers face nowadays. So we

decided it could be very interesting to show in a concrete way that a growing business for young

designers doesn’t need to be an impossible challenge. On the other hand they want to demonstrate

through concrete examples that the use of software in the fashion industry does not only allow designers

to work in a more effi cient way, but that it can also be inspiring.

During the seminar we will focus in a fi rst part on our textile design solution Kaledo Textiles. With

Kaledo, designers can easily create original concepts or adapt existing ideas for prints, weaves and knits.

While it is possible to use Kaledo print, weave and knit as standalone units, they are part of a global

solution,

In a second part we will show how to integrate these prints directly on your patterns trough our pattern-

making solution Modaris and Modaris 3D fi t. Which gives us also the opportunity to do a 3D simulation of

the garments.

SEMINAR:“Time when one single fashion trend dominates for all , time when designers could build business on “the

creative innovations “- for example – on ‘bias-cut’ idea or on ‘mini’ revolution have left in the past. Today the success of a design brand depends not so much from innovative model of a dress, but from innovative business model and talent to see new possibilities for business. The Internet became a

source of such new possibilities for fashion business and it gives the chance to communicate directly with

the client!”
