Kohl’s Cares for Kids:

Kohl’s Cares will distribute $500,000 to 20 schools

Applications can be received from 7/7/2010 – 9/3/2010

Contest open to:Non-Profit youth serving

programs focused on children’s health and education

Grades K-12

Kohl’s Cares for Kids:Steps to apply:

Become a Fan of Kohl’s Facebook Page Fill out application

• Essay 200 words or less• Explaining what your school would like to do

with the money• Can include short 1.5 min video and jpegs

How we can win: Voting based:

• You must be a fan of Kohl’s Cares to Vote• Each fan receives 20 total votes• There is a 5 vote max per school, per fan• The 20 schools with the most votes win!

US Cellular “Calling All Teachers”:

US Cellular is giving away $1 million to public school teachers who want to “make brilliant classroom projects a reality.”
