You Will Need: Vis-à-vis Marker How to Play: Have students write their names on the “Baseball Score Board”. Lay all of the cards facedown in a pile. The first person draws a card. If it’s a word, they must be able to read in order to keep it. They continue to draw cards until they are unable to read. They count up cards read successfully and write their total under the first inning. The game continues with the next player, and so on. If a “special” card is pulled…Students must follow the directions on that card. Umpire’s Mask: Students put all of their cards back and receive a zero for that inning. Baseball: Students add up all of their cards and then add 4 more points for that inning. Baseball Bat: Students add up all of their cards and then add 1 more point to their score for that inning. Students add up their points in all 9 innings. The person with the highest score, wins!
