Throw the first pitch of the inaugural Sunday evening game for Monterey’s new independent professional baseball team: the Monterey Amberjacks! Part of the 12-team Pecos League, the Amberjacks will kick off their season in June at Sollecito Park.

The Pecos League has promoted 312 players to higher independent and affiliated teams from 2010-2016. The Pecos League has doubled in size since 2011, now with 4 West Coast teams in its roster. They gained national attention when Fox Sports 1 Network launched in 2014, featuring a six-part documentary about life in the Pecos League largely based on the League’s Trinidad Colorado Triggers.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) must receive this form no later than 5:00p.m. on

I/We  am/are unable to attend Comics for Kids but would like to bid via proxy on the “Take Me Out to the 

Ballgame! Tailgate, First Pitch, and Seats for 20” package to be auctioned on March 18, 2017.  I/We hereby 

appoint BGCMC as my/our personal bidder and give them the authority to bid on my/our behalf.   

BGCMC is authorized to bid up to a maximum of $___________________.   If the bidding for this item exceeds this maximum bid, bidding on my behalf will stop.  

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

1. I/We  am/are over 18 and can enter into legally binding contracts under applicable law. 

2. I understand that the minimum bid for the package is $500, with minimum raises of $250.  The 

deductible value of an auction purchase is limited to the excess of the amount contributed by the donor 

over the fair market value of goods or services provided. 

3. By signing this Proxy Bid Form, I/we agree to purchase the Take Me Out to the Ballgame! Tailgate, First 

Pitch, and Seats for 20 package if my/our bid is the winning bid.   

4. If the winning bid is the maximum bid for more than one person/group participating by proxy, then the 

person/group whose proxy form was received in the BGCMC office first will be the winner.   

5. I/We understand that submission of the Proxy Bid Form is binding and cannot be changed without 

written agreement from all parties. 

6. Full payment from the winning bidder/group must be received by Friday, March 31, 2017. The Boys & 

Girls Clubs of Monterey County is a non‐profit 501(c)3 organization, EIN 94‐1702753. Please mail
