We aim to: Increase agricultural production and yield via pollination services Increase income and expand income-generation activities, such as the sale of honey and apiculture products o Especially for vulnerable groups including women, ethnic minorities, and the disabled Improve nutrition, health, and increase food security through diversified agricultural production Support natural resource management and environmental sustainability Strengthen civil society and DOA collaborative activities What we do Awareness raising among communities and farmers of the benefits of beekeeping, pollination, and honey are key. Beneficiaries who participate in our project are put into cooperatives using a Community Based Enterprise (CBE) model. We then develop their skills through various training programmes that cover the following topics and more: Queen bee rearing Pollen and propolis collecting Migration options for hives Candle and balm making Marketing and finance Nutrition

A range of modern and innovative apiculture technologies has been provided to each CBE: teak hives, supers, a complete set of polystyrene, pine, and plywood hives, bee colonies, manual honey extractors, refractometers, and equipment for artificial insemination. Business Development A company called the Apiculture Resource and Business Centre (ARBC) has been established under a social enterprise model. The ARBC will be run by CBEs who will oversee our upcoming Beekeeping Centre in Pindaya, which will focus on education and commerce. Visitors will be able to purchase imported beekeeping equipment and products made by CBEs, and learn more about apiculture. Current bee by-products in development: honey, beeswax candles, and beeswax balm

 Tag aims to increase household incomes by 50% through the sale of honey and other bee by-products such as beeswax candles and balm

The average household income of our CBEs is 102,065 kyats per month and we aim to increase this by 50%. Impact

• 266 new beekeepers have started producing honey and by-products

• 350 farmers have used pollination with a 10% reported increase in yield

• The average amount of honey profit of the CBEs is 74,057 kyats

• The amount of honey produced to date is 3238 viss

 A mango farmer in Kya Inn village, Yat Saut had reported a yield increase from 14,500 (2014) to 24,200 (2015) with the help of bee pollination
