‘Tadworth 50’ Exhibition and Parent/Teacher Consultations Wednesday 18 March – 1.30 – 5.00 & 5.30—7.00pm
Early closure – 1.15pm
During our parents’ evening next week, there will be an exhibition on display in the hall charting the history
of Tadworth Primary School—from its beginning as Tadworth & Kingswood School in 1875 through to the
current school. The exhibition proved to be very popular during our Tadworth 50 celebrations last week for
past pupils, staff and governors. Please do pop in and have a look.
This year, you will be given a number of important documents at your parent/teacher meeting including:
• Target slip for your son/daughter—this summarises the key areas that your child is working on
• Annual Survey of Parents—please do take time to complete this as it offers us valuable information as
to parents views of the school
• Data Protection Sheet—It is important that these are checked carefully and returned with any
amendments to ensure that we hold correct and up-to-date information on our system
• Two fliers from the PTA—one regarding the Tadworth Lo9ery (You have to be in it to win it!) and one
about ‘Easyfundraising’ which has already generated hundreds of pounds for the school
Last term, you received a sheet which outlined the changes to our curriculum and also the fact that we no
longer report National Curriculum levels except in Year 2 and 6. I am sure that you will be looking forward
to seeing all of the wonderful work that your children have been doing in school. If you haven’t already
signed up for a parents’ evening slot, please either pop into school from 8.45 – 9.10am or 3.10 – 3.30pm and
sign up on the relevant sheet in the hall, or contact the Front Reception. In order that all parents have an
opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher, appointments will be 10 minutes. Follow up meetings can
always be arranged with the teacher if you feel it necessary to do so. JK
Please note that children will need to be collected at 1.15pm next Wednesday.
Year 3 Experience Victorian Schooldays 3C and 3PC spent Monday and Tuesday respectively this week at the Victorian Schoolroom at Guildford Museum
finding out what it was like to be at school in the 19th century. Apart from si9ing at desks and using chalkboards to
write on, they also had the opportunity to play with a range of toys from the period.
STOP PRESS …..STOP PRESS …...Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Comic Relief House Bake Off competition.
Photos and details of the winning entries will be featured in next week’s Tadworth Times.

Help Needed with War GamesHelp Needed with War GamesHelp Needed with War GamesHelp Needed with War Games Mr Liennard kindly comes into school every Wednesday
lunchtime between 12.30 and 1.15 to hold a war games club. He would very much like some adult help with the running of the
club. No experience of the games is necessary—just a willingness to
assist the children during the 45mins the club is run. If you have a Tadworth Primary DBS check and would like to help, please inform Mrs Marshall on the Front Reception desk .
Many thanks....
Easter Egg Raffle
