6/CodeofConductToensurethesmooth,saferunningofJoyfulDanceStudioandanenjoyableexperiencebyall,belowyouwillfindourcodeofconduct.Asalwaysweareopentofeedback,soifanyoftherequirementsoutlinedbelowareunclearorconcerning,pleasegiveusacalltodiscussfurther.Followingaformalmeeting,wedoreservetherighttodismissortakedisciplinaryactiononanystudentsorparentswhobreachourstudio’scodeofconduct.

Familieswhodonotcomplywiththeirfeeorcostumepaymentobligationsmaybechargedalatefee,and/orexcludedfromperformances.Externaldebtcollectionmayoccurwhenfeesremainoverdueandthiswillbeattheexpenseoftheclient.Costumeexpensesaretheresponsibilityoftheparent,andcostumeswillnotbeissuedtostudentswithunpaidclassfees.

Noclasses(includingprivatelessons)orteachersaretobedisturbedunlessitisanemergency.Parentsarenottoapproachteachersorstudentsduringclassandifmessagesorfood/drink/medicationneedstobepassedontoastudent,itmustbedonethroughaJoyfulDanceStudiostaffmember.Allparentsmustwaitinthewaitingareasoroutsideofthestudiosuntilclasseshavebeendismissed.

Weareunabletotakeresponsibilityforourstudentsbeforeoraftertheirscheduledclassesanditistheresponsibilityoftheparenttoensuretheirchildispickedupanddroppedoffontime.Inthecaseofanemergencyorunavoidabledelay,pleasecontactthestudioimmediatelytoinformusofthesituationsowecankeepyourchildcalmandsafeuntiltheycanbecollected.

Anyquestionsorcomplaintsmustgothroughreception–parentsandstudentsarenotpermittedtocontactJoyfulDanceStudioteachersviaphone,inperson,orviaemail/socialnetworkingwithstudioissuesunlessithasbeenbroachedwiththeprincipalfirst.Personalmeetingswiththestudioprincipalcanhappilybearrangedviareception.

Intherarecaseofaparentorstudentshowingdisrespectordefamationtoanyparent,staffmemberorstudent,ameetingwillbecalledimmediatelyanddismissalmaybeconsideredatthediscretionoftheprincipal.Physical,mental,emotionalorcyberbullyingbyparents,stafforstudentswillnotbetoleratedandmayresultindismissalfromthestudio.

JoyfulDanceStudiotakesnoresponsibilityforanystolenormisplacedpropertyonthestudiopremisesandweencourageourfamiliestoavoidbringingvaluableitemsintothestudiowherepossible.

JoyfulDanceStudiomanagementreservestherighttochangeteachersortimetablingwhennecessaryatanytimethroughouttheyear.Choreography,costumingandstudiopoliciesremaintheintellectualpropertyofJoyfulDanceStudioandmaynotbereproducedorsoldbyanystudents,parentsorstaffwithoutpermissionoftheprincipal.

7/AgegroupsPreschoolClasses

Mommy&Meisagreatclassforour2-3yearolds.Weusemusictheyknowandlovewhilelearningbeginnerdancemoveswithaballetorjazzbasiswithmom/dad/guardian.Welearnallaboutwarmingup,stretching,nurseryrhymes,roleplayingandobstaclecoursestofosteralovefordanceandenhancegrossmotorskills.

BabyBalletisanintroductiontoclassicalballetfor3–4yearoldsusingcreative,imaginativerole-playingandfunprops.Thisclassmayinvolvepretendingtobeanimals,playinginstrumentstolearnrhythm,learningbalancing,skippingandrunningandtechniquesusingcostumesandribbons,orpickingup“diamonds”(shhh...they’reactuallyjustscarves)fromthegroundtodeveloptheirhand-eyecoordination.Thisclassissuitableforbothboysandgirlswhoarehavingsomuchfunthattheydon'tevenrealisethattheyarelearningthefundamentalsofballettechniquealongtheway.

PrincessBallerinas–Thisisaclassforourolderpreschoolerswhoare3.5-6years.Themusicforthisclassisfunandfamiliartothemandexpandsonthetechniqueslearnedbyouryoungerclasses.Wedosomewarmingup,stretching,progressionsacrosstheroom(includingskips,kicksandbasicturningskills)aswellasputtingtogetheradancefortherecital.

MiniTap–Forourdancersages3.5-6,inthisclassyourchildwillbelearningsuperfunbasictapskillsinanimaginativewaywhilealsoplayingwithinstrumentstohelppromoterhythm.Theywilllearnstepsincludingtoe-heel,heel-toe,stampsandshufflesaswellasmakingasmuchnoiseastheycaninourfun,safeandeducationalenvironment.

MiniHipHop–Fordancersages5-8years,thisishiphopstyledancingwithanemphasisonFUN!Ageappropriatemusicandchoreography.Dancerswilldosomewarm-upandstretching,learnisolations,choreographyandprogressionsacrosstheflooraswellasperformintherecital.

PrimaryClassesLevelIBallet-Forages6-9,inthisclass,ourdancersbuildontheirballettechniqueusingcreativeroleplay,costumes,propsandwillthrivefrompositivereinforcement.

LevelIJazz-OurPrimaryJazzstudentsarebuildingonthebasicsofjazztechniquetopopularandageappropriatemusic.Someexamplesofthetechniquesourjazzstudentswilllearnincludeturns,kicks,leapsandbodyisolations.

UpfrontPayment–youwillreceiveyourquarterlyinvoicepriortothecommencementofthequarterandhaveuntilthefirstweekofeachquartertopaythesefeesinfull.Paymentoptionsincludecash,check,orcreditcard.

Overduefeeswillaccruealatefeeof10%perweekthatitispastdueandiffeesremainunpaidinweek4ofclassesstudentswillnotbepermittedtoparticipateintheirlessons.

DirectDebit–Thisisourmostpopularandsimplepaymentmethod,inwhichyoumaychoosetopayyourfeesinmonthlyinstallmentsthroughourDirectDebitproviders:SquareInc.Thereisnofeeforthisserviceandpaperworkmustbefilledoutatreceptionpriortothecommencementofclasses.Clientswhohavepreviouslypaidbydirectdebitwillstillneedtocompletetheiradjustmentpaperworkatthebeginningofeachyear.
