Connected Components Workbench R7 Micro800 Controller (except Micro810®)

Data upload/download provides a convenient method of initializing variables

Upload automatically saves the logical values of user variables and instructions into the Connected Components Workbench (CCW) project on the PC as “project values”

Essentially a snapshot of the global and local variables is uploaded

Optionally download the project values back to the controller to initialize the logical value of variables

If both initial value and project value are defined for a variable, then initial value takes precedence

Data protection, during memory module restore, protects global variables

from being overwritten

Project can be copied from memory module to controller without

modifying existing variable values in controller

OEMs may use this feature to maintain current value of counters such

as number of machine cycles

Useful in situations when CCW is not available to do a Data

Upload/Download to preserve the value of variables

Example would be when OEM updates program at End User site
