A M E S S A G E F R O M T H E C E O & B O A R d C H A I R The Board and staff at Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley never forget that it is our mission to provide positive opportunities for youth to learn and succeed.

Our priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles work in concert to help Sonoma Valley children and teens navigate a landscape that has become increasingly challenging.

BGCSV is proud of its service to our community’s children and teens from age 4 to 18. In 2014, 2319 youth were Club members and approximately 600 attend one of our seven locations each weekday afterschool.

In collaboration with the Sonoma Valley Unified School district, we support low-income elementary, middle school, and high school students through afterschool and summer programs on five school campuses, at our Clubhouse and at THE CLUB Maxwell Village for high school teens. Each day hundreds of our Club members are developing academic skills and have access to enrichment opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.

BGCSV was thrilled to see our Youth of the Year, Maribel Campos, ascend to California Youth of the Year and compete for the Pacific Region Youth of the Year. Committed to enhancing opportunities for members like Maribel to succeed, the Board embarked upon a very ambitious goal in 2015: to create a stand-alone teen facility focused on the needs of high school students. Thanks to a community of generous supporters, too large to mention here individually, a 3,000 square foot facility for teens named THE CLUB Maxwell Village became a reality.

At THE CLUB, a full range of services, opportunities, and support are available to teens on the transformative path to young adulthood. THE CLUB works with high school teens, schools, and the community to ensure that programming remains current and relevant including Future Focus college and career counseling, employment workshops, civic leadership opportunities like Keystone Club, Sports Club and more.

Thank you for your generous support and investment in the future of Sonoma Valley. 100% of our funding is provided through your donations, sponsorships, and grants. We are “Building Brighter futures. Because of You!”
