MASS IN THE EXTRAORDINARY FORM In the Main Church FRIDAY, August 24th at 7:30pm

Special Sacrament Classes for 3rd-5th & 6th-12th Grade

If you have a child who is in the 3rd-12th grade, was baptized Catholic but has had no Religious Education or attended Catholic school and has not celebrated the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist (3rd-5th grade) or Pen-ance, Eucharist & Confirmation (6th-12th grade), they need to attend our Special Sacrament Class for their grade level. The 3rd-5th grade class will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:15pm beginning September 26th. The 6th-12th grade class will be held on Mondays from 6:00pm-7:30pm beginning September 24th. If you did not attend one of the Parent Meetings & Registration in May or June, there will be an RE Registration Night on Tuesday, August 21st at 6:00pm. Cost: $60.00 per child

There will be a late registration evening in September for new arrivals to our parish. Children who were in our program last year and register in September will pay a late fee. K-5th grade classes will begin Tuesday & Wednesday, September 25th and 26th, 2018.

Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in volunteering to help with our youth ministry? We are always in need of help.

Either helping as youth ministers, or praying for the youth of

our Parish, or coordinating the food for our weekly meetings.

CONFIRMATION is the sacrament wherein a soul receives the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit and is ful-ly initiated into the life of the Church. Major-

ity of the Confirmation program will take place in the child’s 8th grade year. Please

find the Confirmation policies.

Thanks to everyone who took tags from the Pencil Trees for the residents of St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Housing. Please remember that your donations need to be returned by tomorrow, (Monday, August 20th) in the marked bin located in the Narthex.

Thanks for your generous donations to the ACTS food drive. SEAS

donated over 2,500 pounds of needed food and items for the food pantry that serves eastern Prince William County.

St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Housing has need of some general supplies for the units. Lists of items they can use can be found on the Human Concerns kiosk in the narthex or by the bin located outside the parish offices.

“That Man is You” is the first small group pursued by the SEAS Evangeliza-tion Committee and hosted by the Knights of Columbus. The first session begins September 8th, 7:15am—8:45am in the Fellowship Hall. Fill out a TMIY Registration form and drop it in the box located on the ushers stand in the church narthex, or register online at http://admin.paradisusdei.org.

Parishioners of all ages gathered to learn how to make Good Deed Beads. Many thanks to all those who kindly donated medals for this wonderful craft! And, thanks especially to Sharon Gallagher for preparing and leading this thoughtful and inspirational activity!

Vacation Bible School was held the week of July 16th through 20th. Many teachers and aides helped make it a fun and successful “shipwrecked” week!
