HCEC(HEALTH CAREERS EVALUATION COMMITTEE)

What is it?Cornell’s HCEC serves those who apply to health professional schools that request a university letter of evaluation.

You are not required to use HCEC, but it is recommended.

How do I use this service?You will have to register at Barnes Hall and pay a non-refundable service fee (~$190).

Start building relationships with your favorite professors

Visit them during office hours, get to know them

GENERAL OVERVIEW You submit the application You get assigned an interviewer (someone

who doesn’t know you at all) After interviewing, your interviewer writes a

letter based on your application and LORs HCEC attaches that letter + all your LORs

and sends them to AADSAS around July/August
