Kwanza™ (formerly selection 62) was bred by Advanced Berry Breeding in the Netherlands.
SEASON
The harvest season in the autumn is approximately 10 days later Polka.
PLANT CHARACTERISTICS
Kwanza™ has a compact upright growth habit with large leaves and few basal shoots. The canes have very few spines.
FRUITING CHARACTERISTICS
The fruit of Kwanza™ is very large (averaging >6 grams in early trials) and easy to harvest, being very visible for the pickers. The berries are light orange-red
in colour and do not darken after harvest. The flavour is excellent.
PEST & DISEASE RESISTANCE
To date Kwanza™ has had no significant problems with pests and diseases.
POTENTIAL USES
An exciting new primocane raspberry with excellent yields for autumn cropping. Kwanza™ produces
