ECS has been in the forefront of COFDM technologyever since its first helicopter downlinks in 2001, and has supplied COFDM microwave links for many different rotary and fixed wing platforms both mannedand unmanned.In 2007, ECS was awarded the prestigious QueensAward to industry in the Innovation section for itssecure COFDM microwave systems. These secure linkscan be used to transmit full motion video, data andaudio reliably up to ranges in excess of 200nm. In 2011 ECS launched an Internet Protocol (IP) enabled,encrypted, bi-directional COFDM link for air surveillancecalled Evenlode.Having great sensors, on flexible aircraft flown bycapable people is now common place. Swiftly andreliably getting relevant information out of thesesensors and to the people that need it has traditionallybeen the greatest challenge. Evenlode does this andmore importantly, in harnessing the connectivity of theInternet, enables those people, wherever they are, tochoose what they want to look at and see it in real time.

An extensive range of coverttransmitters is available in both High Definition (HD)and Standard Definition (SD) enabling ECS to providesurveillance solutions for a wide range of scenarios.Ground COFDM digital equipment includes uplinks anddownlinks, fixed base stations, briefcase and handheldreceivers. All ECS receivers are compatible with airuplinks and downlinks providing our users withflexibility when selecting the correct system for a givenoperation.

ground surveillanceThe ECS digital ground transmitters vary in sizeand power output. Ground links can be used in amulticast mode using omnidirectional antennasor in a point-to-point mode using directionalantennas. Typically, ECS ground transmitters areused to send data directly to a ground station or via an airborne transmitter for re-broadcast.

All of our covert products are built to a highingression protection (IP) rating, allowing theunits to be body worn or deployed into a tacticalarea of interest.

ECS provides a network voting system designedto cater for multiple air platforms. The votingtechnique is used to select the best real time datasignal available from multiple receiving sites. Thesignal is converted to Internet Protocol (IP) anddelivered securely across a network to a viewingpoint of the customer’s choosing.

As part of ECS’s pre-sales commitment, allcustomers are encouraged to discuss theirrequirements for installation, training andsupport. A site survey may be appropriate forsome installations. ECS is able to providetechnical information such as COFDM pathpredictions, guidance on technical solutions andsystem architecture. ECS can provide and assistin obtaining link information frequency allocationfrom the appropriate authorities.

Following equipment delivery, ECS can undertakeinstallations as agreed during the survey. Oncompletion, the engineer will commission thesystem and provide a comprehensive hand overof the system.

ECS can provide extended warranty andmaintenance support packages for all itsproducts. Customer Support manage allmaintenance support contracts offering frequentvisits to customer sites to ensure the correctoperation of installed equipment. Service LevelAgreements (SLA) for maintenance support aretailored to specific customer requirements andmay include 24-7 call out.

Training can be delivered at ECS or at a location ofthe customer’s choice. User and system manualsare provided with equipment as necessary.
