Though it's difficult to summarize this patent into just a few words i would say that this technology gives the ability to power (wirelessly) any technology that you can transport, or carry INCLUDING vehicles. The ability for a signal to be interpreted and take the amplitude (and voltage potential) from a signal and put it into a capacitor would be absolutely amazing. In Toronto (yes the Rotman Research institute is on bathurst in Toronto) would be the perfect place to introduce the wireless technology in the world's first WIRED city. Regardless of energy induction methods (tesla based technology) you can even use satellites to broadcast the power amplitude signals from the sun, rectified of course. Even if we still choose to use nuclear (bad idea) we can still eliminate the large cost of infrastructure maintenance that we in Ontario must pay in order to keep fixing those damn power lines all over the place!
