This document contains a list of the environment variables that may be used by the AccuMarkFamily software. You will need to be logged on as a user with administrative privileges.

For some of these environment variables to use with AccMark software, you will need to input theequivalent statements as System Environment Variables, e.g. Start> Settings > Control Panel> System >Advanced Tab > Environment Variables > System. Others are settable throughthe AccuMark Uilities from various configuration menu functions.

After setting the environment variables you will need to close and re-open any AccuMark relatedapplications so they can read these new variables and their values (or you can reboot thesystem).DigitizingStatement for network digitizing, variable name = digitizedrive value = x where x is the mappeddrive letter for the digitizing directory. This is new variable for V8. See Configuration notes foradditional details.AnnotationStatement to annotate original Order Number instead of Piece Description on pieces in attached

    markers, variable name: save_order value = 1

Statement to orientate marker annotation in a single direction regardless of how pieces areflipped or rotated, variable name: no_flip_anno value = 1

Alterations *Statement to make static alterations like AM-5,Variable name: am5_alter value = 1This command is required for V7 only. V8.0.x automatically implements. For Version 8:Classic_Alter, value = 1

    Markermaking

Sets the maximum marker length to 999 yards.Variable name: Max_Length value = 999

The MicroConstraint will turn on the 90 degree rotation option for the imported MicroMarkmarkers. This will allow the same rotation that is allowed throughout the MicroMark markingoptions. (The option for 90 degrees is set in the Micro Options.bin and that information cannottransfer.)Variable name: mm45microconstraint = 1 (started with 8.2.1-SP1 - #8057)

The MicroCategory is to assign a category to pieces as the MicroMark markers are imported. It isbased on the 9

    thand 10

thcharacter position in the piece name. This setting allows for the

category to be recognized on the markers for plotting and cutting. This category can be used forthe cut sequencing based on category, annotation table, and copy marker. The piece names inMicro must have followed a pattern to allow for certain characters to be assigned to the pieces ascategories.Variable name: microcategory = 9:10 (started with 8.2.1-SP1 #8054)

Statement to open markers with errors created in V7 or earlier V8Variable name: SKIPORDERLOADCHECK = 1

Statement to avoid markers with errors in V7 or earlier V8Variable name: ORDERLOADCHECK = 1

PlottingTo print double density lines at Microjet, variable: MICROJET_DD value = 1To plot arrow heads on internal lines:variable: acmk_arrowhead Value = xyX = the internal label to receive an arrow head and Y = the integer value 0 through 6 anddetermines the type of arrow head to be drawn.

Example:acmk_arrowhead with value G2,I4 will plot arrowhead type 2 on lines with internal label G andarrow head type 4 on lines with internal label ITo override the AccuMark minimum character sizePlotMinSize, value = 850

To plot dash line on HP500 with HP Windows Device Driver:

    Variable: hpplotwidth, Value = 0

Network PlottingThe variables below can be set through the AccuMark Utilities, Configuration, Plotter Queue

To plot peer to peer.Variable name: Queuevalue = peer, (four characters maximum) e.g. for PC01 input peer,pc01.To plot in a client server network.Variable name: Queuevalue = serv,x:where x is the mapped drive letter to the AccuMark directory on the server.

Cut GenerationStatement to check and add M19

To perimeter only, variable = cut_M19 value = 1To internals only, variable = cut_M19 value = 2To internals and perimeter, variable = cut_M19 value = 3CAD Relational DatabaseV8 versions prior to 8.2.0 used the variable ACMKNOIMAGES to control whether thumbnailimages of marker(s) or piece(s) were generated and stored in the CAD relational database. WithV8.2 and later, this is set via AccuMark Utilities by selecting the Images checkbox in SQLSupport.

TranslationsSome strings or messages may become too long after being translated. In the past this couldcause marking to crash. With V8.2 and later, marking will truncate the strings. Setting thisenvironment variable will also generate a text file called checkstrings.txt in the userroot\tempfolder that lists the strings that were truncated. Then the translator could use this list to make thestrings shorter.

    Variable name: checkstringsValue = 1

In Marking the font used in the message or status window by default uses a drawing font. Withsome languages there are certain characters that will not display or does not display properly. Forthese cases set this variable to have marking use the windows font instead.Variable name: ACMKFLANGValue = 1

You may then want to adjust the font size or aspect ratio of the characters using the windowsfont. To adjust the font size:Variable name: ACMKADJUSTValue = 1.0 (default value). If you want the font to be smaller, make the value less than 1. tomake the font larger, make the value greater than 1.

To adjust the aspect ratio (height/width) of the font:Variable name: ACMKASPECTValue = 1.2 (default). Play with different values; its height / width, changes the tall and thin orshort and fat characteristics.

LicensingThese environment variable tell the licensing security application where to look for the systemssecurity key and license file. All AccuMark V8 applications enforce this security schema and willnot run on a system that does not have a security key (dongle) and license file.

LSHOST = license server name or no-net for individual workstation securityLSFORCEHOST = license server name or no-net for individual workstation security
