Preliminary conclusions in September 2017

• Agreement between BIRA Mobile and MaxDOAS

• Good agreement between DOAS instruments and Lotos Euros on Sept 13

• seems less good on Sept 14, model > measurements in afternoon

• Measurements > model on Sept 15 all day

Can the model be used to reduce the representativeness error between the Mobile DOAS and OMI ?

Conclusions

• Dataset of mobile doas vcds consistent with Max-DOAS

• Limited azimuthal variability on Sept 13-14-15

• Including additional measurements confirms earlier comparisons with Lotos Euros on Sept 13-14-15

• Higher VCDs on 15 September correlated with transport from most polluted areas

• For comparison with satellite, how do mobile measurements reduce the representativeness error? Does it help to include a model-based correction?
