Symbology is an ethical fashion label that fuses artisan textiles with fashion forward designs to bring authentic apparel to the boutique market. We bring a fresh spin to centuries-old artistic traditions by interpreting them into a modern, sexy collection. We envision fashion as a platform to empower the poor, preserve traditional arts and connect women worldwide. With each Symbology purchase, our customer has invested in a fashionable, one-of-a-kind piece that empowers women across the globe.

Founder Marissa Heyl had an ‘aha’ moment in a small village in India, while researching her anthropology thesis project assessing the impact of fair trade on artisan women. She visited many women in slums and villages who touched her heart–not by how different their lives were from hers, but how much they shared in common as women. She met Gita, a young mother of three who was able to pay for her children to go to college through the money she made with her fair trade artisan group. As Marissa watched her embroider a mirrorwork tablecloth, she envisioned it as a beautiful dress. Hence the seed was planted for Symbology–a way for her to combine her lifelong passion for fashion design and women’s rights.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Symbology will ship a complete party kit to your home, including sample inventory and merchandising equipment. Once your party is over, just ship your party kit back to Symbology. We will cover the cost of return shipping.

HOW IT WORKS

We will include detailed instructions about hosting to guide you through the process. Your party kit will include the latest Symbology collection, including garments and accessories. To help you run your party we will also include display items, setup instructions, recipe samples, order forms, receipt books, photos, a special Symbology brand video, payment info, a Square reader, business and info cards, and a style sheet.

WHAT 'S IN THE KIT?
