CROSS ROADS 1.0 (Alumni Meet) REPORT

Alumni Relations Cell

The Alumni Relations Cell was formed in January, 2018 with a base of 3 passed out batches from SIBM-HYDERABAD. The objective behind a devoted cell was to build a strong network of alumni who can assist each other in growing professionally and also contribute to bringing in opportunities for the current batches. Crossroads 1.0 presented an opportunity to interact with our seniors and integrate everyone into

one family. We were also able to build a network of Symbiosis alumni by introducing them

to one another so that going forward they can help and refer each other whenever there are

better opportunities. They were also enthusiastic to meet each other and discussed their

professional achievements and plans.

This powerful network of young, passionate and innovative minds is an asset in building a bright future for the individuals of the institution. The Alumni Relations Cell currently has 10 members, 6 from batch 2017-19 and 4 from batch 2018-20. Members -

Prathyusha Chokkapu The cell members had received multiple requests for an Alumni meet in Hyderabad after the success of prior 2 meets in Bangalore and Delhi. ARC planned the event and received much interest and enthusiasm from the alumni body and thus with the support from the Director's office and Mr. Nicholas Ross, we successfully hosted the event, Crossroads 1.0 (a name suggested by the alumni themselves) at Leonia Holistic Destinations on Saturday 15th December, 2018 from 6-11 PM.

The event started with ARC welcoming the guests and talked about the achievements and

developments on campus, followed with the address of Mr. Raghavendra BT, Head – Student

Affairs (SIBM – H). A video film having good wishes from the Faculties and the Management of

SIBM was played. Various games for better bonding and ice – breaking was organised by the cell.

It was followed by Dance, cake cutting, dinner. The Alumni and the cell together made the event

vibrant and colourful.

Alumni Feedbacks

Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the event and got a perfect environment and opportunity to

bond with their classmates, juniors and seniors and share a laugh over some old memories and

even made some new ones. Members of the Career Assistance Team also interacted with the

alumni and discussed about the job market. CAT members also took feedback about the

companies the alumni are working in and also assured alumni support going forward.

Conclusion

Summing up the alumni event, we had extended an invitation to the alumni to hold positions in

the prestigious alumni board for SIBM - Hyderabad for the following designations - Club

Manager, Club Lead, Treasurer, and Secretary. We will soon be having a formal election and

induction of these members to form the very first Alumni Board for SIBM Hyderabad! This will

act as a bridge between the alumni and the students at SIBM Hyderabad. This alumni board will

help to enrich the college network, exchange career growth ideas and opportunities and most

importantly to stay connected!
