Coaching and Mentoring
Unit 1- Introduction to management coaching and mentoring: - Understand the concept andpurpose of management coaching and mentoring, use of coaching and mentoring as a tool in
human resources development, relationship between coaching and mentoring and
organizational objectives, difference b/w coaching and mentoring, merits and demerits.,
Unit 2- Personal development as a manager and leader: - Assessment and planning for
personal professional development plan (setting up a mentoring and coaching procedure,
coaching experienced learner-the GROW Model, resources planning, implementation and
evaluation of the personal development plan, support and promoting staff welfare.
Unit 3- Management of coaching and mentoring: - Understand the impact of coaching and
mentoring programmes on the organization, manage the implementation of coaching and
mentoring, monitoring and evaluating the operation of coaching and mentoring within an
organisation, using coaching and mentoring skills/qualities as a manager, barriers to effective
coaching and mentoring.
