Prison Ministry Report The One Nation Under God Campaign sent spiritual literature into every home in the United States. It was spearheaded by Sycamore in 1990 under the direction and vision of Horace Burks. Countless souls were reached for Jesus Christ! An off-shoot of that campaign is the Prison Ministry at Millington Church of Christ in Millington, TN. Ruth Howell, widow of the late Hollis Howell (former Sycamore elder), helped begin this Prison Ministry in 1996, and it is still going strong today! Since 1996 there have been 65,418 packets that have been studied, graded, and returned to the students with a personal note from a teacher! Since 1996 there have been 2,792 requests to be baptized into Christ! There have been 219 baptism requests in 2015 alone! What amazing things have been done to the glory of God with a few seeds planted through the One Nation Under God work. Never think for a minute that the power of God’s Word and the prayer of His people will not change the world! Nashville Inner City Mission Trip As we have done for the last two years, we will take another trip to Nashville Inner City during spring break. The dates are April 1-3. Our plans are to leave that Friday morning and return by Sunday afternoon. Free lodging is available, and you will need money for meals. Last year they were getting into their nice new facility. We landscaped, worked on clearing the grounds for a playground, organized their food pantry, built picnic tables, canvassed the neighborhood, went to their Monday Bible school, etc. They have done some amazing things to their building and grounds, so we can’t wait to see their progress! This year we will be setting up and cleaning up for their huge annual Catfish Dinner Fund- raiser. We will canvass the neighborhood again. We may also be putting in some playground equipment. This Inner City trip is very close, very affordable, and a very fertile mission field. Please pray about going with us this year! If you are interested, please sign up in the vestibule. There will be a meeting in the coming weeks. Kevin
