are holding an intermediate workshop on January 22nd at 3:00pm

David holds two UCWDC Worlds Championships and a US Open Swing Dance Championship. Trish holds four UCWDC Worlds Championships and is a California Swing Dance Hall of Fame inductee.

Together they compete on the Country and West Coast Swing circuits and teach a variety of dance styles including Country 2-Step, West Coast Swing, Hustle and Nightclub 2-Step.

Known for their fun, informative dance classes, they also provide teaching, coaching and choreography services for group classes, private lessons, competitors, wedding dance couples, performance teams, as

well as specialty classes and exhibitions for private parties and special events.

A Few Words From Our President We did it again – we had the biggest, best

Christmas Dinner Dance ever!! The room was full

of our dance friends – even some we had not seen

for a long time, the band was super and kept the

floor full, and the food was super. What a great

way to end the year. A special thank you goes to

Bob Pomeroy for selling so many tickets.

January 2017 starts by having all of you to come

back to the club on its first day. Then we are planning a lot of fun

events just for you. Jan 22nd Country Western Days - wear your

cowboy clothes and come have a YEE HAW day. Music will be

standard mix 75% swing & 25% other. We will also be having an

Intermediate class on the Jan. 22nd 3:00 p.m. with Trish Connery

Walkup and her husband David Walkup. Come learn some great

new moves. Don’t miss out!

February 12th we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day by having for

the “first time” a ‘SWEETHEART BALL”. It will be FREE to all

members (sister clubs $10 & non-members $15). We will also have

our Blue Crew Band back to play music for us. The food will be

just “Sweets”. Come dance and enjoy the day. Feb. 25th will be our

trip to Palm Springs to celebrate their Tri-City Dance. The Bus

trip is only $10 per person and the dance is $25. See Bob Pomeroy

for tickets. Another fun weekend!

Thank all of you for participating in all our activities thru out the

year. Where can you go to have so much fun?? Keep dancing and

stay young forever.

Jimmy Woodward and the Blue Crew will be playing for us again on February 12 for our Sweetheart Ball. Members will be admitted free of charge. Non– members will pay $15 and sister clubs will pay $10.. Look for flyers on the tables on Sundays.

About SDSDC:

The San Diego Swing Dance Club is a private, non-profit

organization. Its specific and primary purposes are to enjoy,

promote, preserve, encourage, and teach West Coast Swing.

Members receive discounts to weekly dances and special

events and each issue of Swing Times newsletter. Club colors

are red, white and blue and the first Sunday of each month is

red, white and blue day. Wear the Club colors and be entered

into a drawing for a free admission pass. If you haven’t been

to the Club dances in a while, stop by soon so you can

continue to enjoy the dancing, fun, and friendliness that

makes SDSDC so special. One free admission to first-timers
