Lịch sử PAKISTANPakistan xuất hiện trên bản đồ thế giới vào ngày 14 tháng 8 năm 1947, sau cuộc đấu tranh của những người Hồi giáo tại Nam Á để thoát khỏi sự cai trị của Đế quốc Anh. Pakistan có nền văn minh Ấn Hà phát triển rực rỡ cách đây 5 nghìn năm. Trước ngày độc lập, Pakistan là một bộ phận trong tiểu lục địa Ấn Độ thuộc Anh. Sau Thế chiến thứ hai, Anh trao trả độc lập cho tiểu lục địa và chia tiểu lục địa thành hai quốc gia, Ấn Độ và Pakistan, dựa trên cơ sở tôn giáo: Hồi giáo ở Tây Pakistan và Đông Pakistan - cách xa nhau hơn 1900 km - và Ấn Độ giáo (Hindu) ở Ấn Độ. Năm 1971, Đông Pakistan tách ra thành lập nước Cộng hoà Nhân dân Bangladesh. Từ đó lãnh thổ Pakistan chỉ còn ở miền tây.

Vị trí địa lý và địa hình PAKISTANPakistan nằm ở khu vực Nam Á, phía đông giáp Ấn Độ, phía tây bắc giáp với Afghanistan, phía tây nam giáp với Iran, phía nam giáp biển Ả Rập, phía đông bắc giáp Trung Quốc.Với diện tích 796.095 km², Pakistan có 6 khu vực chính: vùng núi cao phương bắc, vùng núi thấp phía tây, cao nguyên Balochistan, vùng Potohar, vùng Punjab và đồng bằng Sindh. Vùng núi cao phương bắc tập hợp 35 ngọn núi khổng lồ với độ cao trên 7325 m, nơi đây có đỉnh núi cao thứ nhì thế giới là Godwin Austin . Bên cạnh đó có rất nhiều những dòng sông băng, hồ lớn và những thảo nguyên xanh mướt, đây cũng chính là điểm du lịch hấp dẫn của Pakistan

Swat (Pakhto: سوات) is a valley and an administrative district in the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan located 160 km/100 miles from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. It is the upper valley of the Swat River, which rises in the Hindu Kush range. The capital of Swat is Saidu Sharif, but the main town in the Swat valley is Mingora. It was a princely state (see Swat (princely state)) in the NWFP until it was dissolved in 1969. With high mountains, green meadows, and clear lakes, it is a place of great natural beauty that used to be popular with tourists as "the Switzerland of Pakistan". (en.wikipedia.com)
